UN Imposes Sanctions

In a 15-0 vote, the UN agrees and votes on sanctions for North Korea.

The U.S.-drafted resolution allows nations to stop cargo going to and from North Korea to check for weapons of mass destruction or related supplies. But the measure specifically excludes military force.

Story here. (Hat Tip to Flopping Aces)

The only thing I can think of to say about this is: It is about time. Balls in North Korea's court now and I have to wonder what next?

I will update with North Korea's reactions when I see them.

[UPDATE] First reaction, North Korea says they consider the sanctions a "declaration of war".... and they think their threats to fire a nuclear tipped missle if we don't accede to their demands, WASN'T a declaration to us??? Bring it on Kim jong-il !!!!
