Liberal Blogs Lose Readership while Conservative Blogs Gain

I found a very interesting post over at Bloggasm, with graphs obtained from sites that utilize sitemeter where the results are open to the public and the findings were quite extraordinary.

As the author mentions in the comment section, for consistency he used blogs that had open-to-the-public format, via sitemeter.

His graphs show that liberal blogs such as Daily Kos, Crooks and Liars, Eschaton/Atrios, Fire Dog Lake, and Hullabaloo/Digby, all showed a decreased readership while conservative blogs, such as Instapundit, Michelle Malkin, Hot Air, Red State and Right Wing News, all increased their readership.

The graphs presented were copied from Sitemeter and represent December 2006 through December 2007.

Fire Dog Lake took the biggest hit with a 28% decrease and the second biggest decrease was for Eschaton with a 18% decrease in visits.

The biggest gains for conservative blogs was Hot Air with a 34% increase and Michelle Malkin with a 30% increase.

It has taken years for conservative blogs to catch up with technology of the world wide web but the trends are starting to show that conservative blogs are on the rise and liberal blogs are stagnating or becoming less popular.

Perhaps people are tired of the messages on the liberal blogs, the constant whining and complaining and just possibly people are tired of hearing how horrible America is and starting to tune them out.

Whatever the reason, it is now a very good time to be a conservative blogger...... not so much so for liberal bloggers.
