Border Security: Reid was against it, until it was explained to him, very slowly

Amazing that a man that cannot even understand a bill and votes against it because he "didn't get it", then changes his mind once he "did get it", managed to become majority leader of the Senate.

Idiots. The lot of them I swear.

From the Chron.com:

The action marked a surprising reversal from Wednesday, when it appeared the extra border security funding would fall victim to partisan and philosophical disagreements. But Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, in a highly unusual floor speech, admitted today that he'd thrown "a little tantrum" the night before when he pulled the $3 billion amendment after an objection by Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas.

A tantrum? Reid? Really, you mean those little things he throws every single time he doesn't get his way?

So, Reid, in his typical fashion of throwing a temper tantrum has decided that since his little stunt didn't work, he will pull the whole Defense Authorization bill off the floor until he gets his way on ONE amendment, the Levin/Reed amendment that would set time lines on our military in Iraq.

The good news is, with a vote of 89-1 with 10 not voting,$3,000,000,000, (3 billion) is going towards border security.

"There is hereby appropriated $3,000,000,000 to satisfy the requirements set out in section 1002(a) and, if any amount remains after satisfying such requirements, to achieve and maintain operational control over the international land and maritime borders of the United States, for employment eligibility verification improvements, for increased removal and detention of visa overstays, criminal aliens, aliens who have illegally reentered the United States, and for reimbursement of State and local section 287(g) expenses. These amounts are designated as an emergency requirement pursuant to section 204 of S. Con. Res. 21 (110th Congress)."

About freaking time.

Speaking of idiots, the IDIOTS are still chasing their tails in a battle they cannot win if it goes to court.
