Democrats And Far Left Attempt To Use Gifford Shooting And Arizona Tragedy As Political Fodder

Before starting this post, Gabrielle Giffords has been reported as having awoken, recognized her husband and then became unconscious again.

19 people shot, six people murdered, one a child, one a federal judge and Congresswoman Gabrielle Gifford in critical condition after being shot in the head.

A tragedy by any account and what is the far left doing? They are trying to use it for political fodder, just one day after the shootings before families can even bury their dead.

22 year old Jared Loughner, who lists his favorite books as Mein Kampf, The Communist Manifesto and Siddhartha was the gunman. Much has come out about Loughner and by all accounts he is a disturbed individual.

A tragedy, closely following another angry individual pulling a gun at a school board meeting and firing shots, resulting in his own death.

What do the two incidents have in common? Two angry, deranged men, one older, one younger, who decided picking up a gun and shooting was the way to go.

Not according to the far left and Democratic politicians though. To them, the murders yesterday and the severe injuries of the victims still alive, are nothing more than a political opportunity to try to cast blame against Tea Party members and/or Republicans across the country.

The school board shooter, Clay Duke, specifically mentioned his motives which were "the rich" and linked on his Facebook page to progressive sites including theprogressivemind.info and MediaMatters.org.

Conservatives did not go all out and claim those progressive sites, thereby progressives, were responsible for the class warfare rhetoric that set Duke off in the first place. Most Conservatives acknowledged the man was just disturbed in the head.

When it comes to Loughner though, the far left is going all out to cast blame for this sink man's action.. on the Tea Party and Republicans.

What really gets me though, is one specific blog site, Daily Kos, because the founder Markos Moulitsas is specifically mentioned in the four page The Politico piece reporting on the partisan rhetoric, on page four.

Liberal blogger and activist Markos Moulitsas was even blunter, charging two prominent Republicans with egging on acts of violence, Angle and Palin.

Moulitsas linked to an image of Palin’s map, writing on Twitter: “Mission accomplished, Sarah Palin.”

Palin, for her part, released a statement saying that she and her family would pray “for peace and justice” and offering “sincere condolences … to the family of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and the other victims of today’s tragic shooting in Arizona.”

But she also moved quickly to scrub her website of the imagery that had the Giffords seat in a gun’s crosshairs.

A spokeswoman for Palin, Rebecca Mansour, reacted to criticism of the former Alaska governor on Twitter with a brief message: “Politicizing this is repulsive.”

The reason Moulitsas's comments are so egregious is because provided by HillBuzz who turns the tables on Daily Kos by providing screen shots of the Daily Kos site two days before the massacre that transpired yesterday:

“My CongressWOMAN voted against Nancy Pelosi! And is now DEAD to me!” — eerie Daily Kos hit piece on Gabrielle Giffords just two days before assassination attempt; repeated use of word “dead” in relation to Giffords just 48 hours before she and a dozen others were fired upon. UPDATE: Daily Kos scrubs “dead to me” thread but screengrabs document everything; UPDATE: school classmates and former friends describe shooter Jared Lee Loughner as committed Leftist

The HillBuzz piece is a very long piece because screen shots are provided for everything and they title their piece with "IS DAILY KOS INVOLVED IN ARIZONA MURDERS?"

The answer is no, Daily Kos is not responsible for Jared Loughner's actions, just as the far left, Sarah Palin, Sharron Angle and the Tea Party is not. Just as Media Matters is not responsible for the school board shooter, Clay Duke's actions.

These are acts of people and those people are responsible, solely for them.

Let the families mourn. Let the country come to terms with the tragedy and let the survivors heal in peace.

Quit using tragedy for political fodder. Political gamesmanship can wait.
