Voice of Military Wives

We are not sidekicks, we are hero support.

There is no job in the world more emotionally, physically, and mentally demanding as that of a member of the military. They are heroes to our country, American patriots that have signed a contract to protect all we hold dear with the most precious collateral, their lives. Our soldiers, sailors, marines, and airmen are honored in our hearts, but sometimes the families of the brave are forgotten.

Military wives, husbands, parents, and children shoulder the same burden as that of their honored family members. We are the soldiers left behind when they go off to war, or to the aid of neighbors, or even just to the base.

Military wives have a job like none seen since the house mistresses of old. We juggle the schedules of the children, the husbands, the families, the communities. We fulfill the support that is needed by our men by tending the finances, the household chores, and of course the secretary work they drag home behind them as they wearily stumble through the door hoping for a hot meal and the love of their families.

We are hero support; we are emotionally, physically, and mentally drained and we keep going. We shoulder their weariness, their responsibilities, and their contract with our country. We are not just married to a man, but an honor bound contract to our country. We are married to the commitment of our military members, we are married America.

The Voice of Military Wives is new and welcoming members to support one another, whether you are a wife, child, parent, of a military member, a military member, or a patriot you are welcome to join.
