#OWS News- Public Opinion Sours On Occupiers Before Oakland Riots

By Susan Duclos

Polling released today shows that a plurality of voters, 39 percent have an unfavorable opinion of the Occupy Wall Street protests with 30 percent have a favorable opinion and Independents rate it unfavorably by 42 percent to 29 percent.

This is before the complete chaos of yesterday in Oakland.

Grafitti included anarchist symbols to threatening gang tags. Messages included "Oakland commune" and "kill cops." (Source- SFGate)

Occupiers vandalized a Whole Foods store and shattered windows at two downtown banks, as well as spraypainting "class war" and "shut it down" at a Bank of America branch. (Source- LA Times)

They shut down the Port of Oakland, the nation's fifth-busiest harbor with a statement from port officials making it clear that "missed shifts represent economic hardship for maritime workers, truckers, and their families, as well as lost jobs and lost tax revenue for our region." (Source- AP)

Occupiers also started a fire in the middle of a downtown street and shattered glass windows of local area businesses leaving sidewalks and streets covered in glass, leading to a police confrontation with the Occupier rioters that one reporter says led to at least 30 arrests in that particular area. Michelle Malkin did an awesome job last night tracking the news live with constant updates as this supposed "peaceful" protest spiraled out of control, so take a look at the photos and click the news links. More photos from last nights riots here, via Malkin.

Yesterday I published a piece showing the rapes, drugs, drug dealers, wealthy kids using the Occupier movement as a free party and the cost to taxpayers around the country associated with the Occupying freeloaders.

I will repeat again: Never forget, Barack Obama created this class warfare movement on June 29, 2011 in a speech to distract voters from his dismal economic failures to cast blame on "corporate jet owners" and the rich, then Democrats embraced it and thought it would be a good idea to harness the anger.

The Occupier Rap Sheet is now at 137 and still counting with over 3,000 arrests to date.

You can find all WuA's Occupier antics posts at the class warfare label page here.
