[Update added] Below original post showing the Occupy Threat Center has elevated the violent threat level associated with the Occupy movement to "high" and more info.
Since the Occupy Wall Street "movement" began there has been multiple documented instances where protesters have incited violence, attacked police so they force a response. Many believe they do this so they can video the outcome to attempt to portray themselves as "victims."
As the Occupy Wall Street movement continues to spread across the country, the protesters in the place where it all started, New York City, are being blamed for the recent clashes with police, NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly said.
“What they did is they counted. They actually had a countdown – 10, 9, 8, 7, 6 – they grouped together, they joined arms and they charged the police. They attacked the police. They wanted to get into Wall Street, they wanted to occupy Wall Street,” Kelly told reporters
Looks like they planned to try it again but this time witnesses counter the occupier meme.
District of Columbia police said early Saturday that a driver will not be charged for striking three people taking part in an Occupy DC protest in downtown Washington.
Lt. Christopher Micciche of the D.C. police said the driver was not cited because he had a green light when his vehicle struck the three on Friday night. He said witnesses told police that the three pedestrians "either ran toward or jumped in front of the moving vehicle." He said one pedestrian jumped on the hood of the car. One of them was cited for being in the roadway.
"The protesters were apparently trying to block the roadway," Micciche said. "It was essentially an accident where three individuals were injured but they were in violation by being in the roadway." D.C. fire department spokesman Lon Walls said Saturday morning that the three were transported to two area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
Other DC occupier antics include their failed attempt to storm the Americans for Prosperity Foundation "Defending the American Dream" Summit.
The Other McCain was there and captured these occupiers in all their howling glory.

More on that via Wapo:
When asked whether the protesters should have been standing in the street at all, Folks said, "we were in the street, but this guy didn't even give us a chance to get out of the way."
Earlier, however, near the rear of the convention center, another group of protesters stood in front of a chartered bus for more than a half-hour as it tried to leave from the area. The bus kept honking its horn and tried to advance forward, but was repelled by the protesters who refused to yield.
In other areas around the building, some drivers got out of their cars and confronted protesters who refused to move. Other motorists stuck in traffic were more receptive, honking their horns in support of the group.
In addition, it appeared that small fights were breaking between protesters and other people, possibly neighborhood residents.
Occupiers across the country are clearly out of control as the Oakland riots from the other night show and if elected officials, Mayors, Governors and city leaders won't end this charade, the as I stated yesterday, it is time for businesses ,being harmed by these occupiers and residents who are fed up, to start pulling out and relocating to areas where they do not have to deal with this nonsense.
Some have already done so, but more need to make the same statement.
That is a protest that would hit these city officials in occupied territories right where it counts..... revenues.
[Update] The Occupy Threat Center has elevated the threat level to "high" risk of threat.

ListenLogic Threat Advisory Warns of Heightened Risk of Violence According to Social Media Data
The ListenLogic Social Listening Intelligence Center (SLIC) today elevated the ‘Occupy’ threat advisory level for large U.S. corporations to “High” for the upcoming November 5th weekend. Ongoing ListenLogic analysis of several million online posts has identified a significant increase in support for key Occupy events during the November 5th weekend, as well as increases in:
- Threats made by protesters, with a 25% increase during the past week alone; of the threats, nearly 70% target police. The other most commonly targeted groups include: politicians (10%), corporate executives (8%), and reporters (3%).
- Interest in online Occupy videos depicting acts of violence, destruction, and/or arrest activity. Over 80% of Occupy-related videos viewed on YouTube for the 30-day period ending November 4th include such acts.
- Posts ‘by’ protestors who have been actively involved in marches stating that they will avoid weekend activity because of the potential for violence or harm.
- Calls for violent action, flash mobs, and vandalism
[Update #2] Proof of that violence can be found as an occupier is arrested in Colorado in connection with a $10 million arson fire that damaged dozens of condominiums and businesses in Fort Collins.
Benjamin David Gilmore, 29, was arrested on Thursday night on suspicion of arson, burglary and criminal mischief.
On Oct. 24, a fire started at 3:30 a.m. in a four-story apartment complex under construction. The fire spread to the occupied Penny Flats condominium and retail building next door.
