Pew: Republicans Outperform Democrats in News IQ

By Susan Duclos

Pew Research Center has it's News IQ quiz out again which consists some verbal and some visual questions for respondents to choose an answer from multiple choice options.

Once again there is a difference in partisan performance levels with Republicans scoring higher on every single question than Democrats and every question but one than Independents. Independents also outperform Democrats on average by a lesser margin.

Via Pew:

Republicans generally outperformed Democrats on the current quiz. On 13 out of the 19 questions, Republicans score significantly higher than Democrats and there are no questions on which Democrats did better than Republicans. In past knowledge quizzes, partisan differences have been more muted, though Republicans often have scored somewhat higher than Democrats.

Take the test here to see how what your News IQ is before you read the report from Pew Research here.
