They Can Find You - Smartphone Dangers (Videos)

By Susan Duclos

With the constant threat of cyberstalking and instances happening more often, with sites teaching people step-by-step instructions on how to cyberstalk and how to prevent it for the purpose of raising awareness,  new Smartphone apps that help you stalk your ex, for example, or anyone else, are quite disturbing.

Watch the video below and see if you don't get chills up and down your spine by the time it says "With our new phone…it can even tell you when that lying b*tch isn’t at the grocery store like she said she’d be,” the voiceover says."

The  second video below is an older, from 2010,  news report showing how taking pictures on your Smartphone, whether it is you taking them, your kids or anyone else, can lead strangers right to your home, work or school.

Pictures you've e-mailed or uploaded to the internet from your smartphone could leak information that can threaten your safety or that of your children.

The report goes on to say that after finding the photos online, anyone can find personal information from those pictures with just a "click of the mouse." The example used was from a  mother taking a picture of her child and uploading it. They were able to find the child's home, her daycare and even map out her bedroom, just from the data within the photo itself.

At the end of the video, they do inform you how to set your phone so that this risk is minimized.
