Even liberal television personalities see how badly Obama and his administration officials screwed up the response to the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya, which resulted in the death of Ambassador Stevens and three others, insisting it was spontaneous, denying it was a terror attack on the anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks against America with conflicting stories from officials for eight days straight.
John Stewart unveiled a new segment on Monday night on his show The Daily Show: “Do You Guys Ever Talk To Each Other Or…” (The apparent answer would be a decided “no.”)

“Well, two things apparently have become clear,” Stewart concluded. “The attack on our embassy was planned and coordinated. The response to it — not so much.”
More details have become public as well about events leading up to the attack in Benghazi.
The Daily Beast reports "Jihadists twice set off explosives at the consulate prior to the incident that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens, and announced threats on Facebook about escalating attacks on Western targets in the run-up to the 9/11 anniversary, according to whistleblowers reaching out to House Republicans. "
WSJ reports on the meetings between Obama, the secretary of defense, the national security adviser and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff on the night of the attack that killed four U.S. citizens in Benghazi and succinctly sums up Obama's lack of response:
Let's review:
The U.S. ignores warnings of a parlous security situation in Benghazi. Nothing happens because nobody is really paying attention, especially in an election year, and because Libya is supposed to be a foreign-policy success. When something does happen, the administration's concerns for the safety of Americans are subordinated to considerations of Libyan "sovereignty" and the need for "permission." After the attack the administration blames a video, perhaps because it would be politically inconvenient to note that al Qaeda is far from defeated, and that we are no more popular under Mr. Obama than we were under George W. Bush. Denouncing the video also appeals to the administration's reflexive habits of blaming America first. Once that story falls apart, it's time to blame the intel munchkins and move on.
It was five in the afternoon when Mr. Obama took his 3 a.m. call. He still flubbed it.
As we and many others pointed out at that time and now American Crossroads clearly shows in their new "World" ad against Obama, within hours of those meetings, while attacks continued and spread, Obama hopped on a plane for a campaign event in Vegas. The ad also shows how George Bush canceled campaign events during a national security crisis and how Bill Clinton responded with a show of force instead of appeasement and excuses.
Romney and Ryan are right to hit hard, hit fast and hit often on Obama's foreign "policy of weakness."
