Embed: 7-9-12-Memo Request for Libya Extension of Security Before 9/11 Terror Attack

By Susan Duclos

It has been known for a while now that security personnel in Libya had requested an extension of security teams for the U.S Libya Mission staff and it was denied or ignored. Cables released today as the hearing by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee in to what happened on 9/11 when the U.S. Ambassador to Libya and three others were murdered in a terrorist attack, show those requests.

The latest one released was from July 9. 2012, requesting an extension for 60-90 days.
