Obama campaign strategist David Axelrod has used one consistent tactic for his client over the last decade: use any means necessary to force opponents to release private information. The demands for Mitt Romney to release tax returns--amplified by the mainstream media--are nothing new: Obama made similar demands of Hillary Clinton in 2008--even though, at the time, he had only released two years of tax returns, just as Romney has done.
