Ever wonder about those people that no matter how well things go in their lives, they still seem to have nothing but hatred in their hearts? I have often wondered about these people. Are they people in need of a shrink? Or simply people who are incapable of anything but hatred and venom.
This post on The Huffington Post reminds me ofthose people. No matter who wrote it, by virtue of being on THAT site, the site owner is no better than the author. I accept responsibility for every word I write on this site, anyone who owns one should.
I give thanks O Lord for Dick Cheney's Heart, that brave organ which has done its darn-tootin' best on four separate occasions to do what we can only dream about.
O Lord, give Dick Cheney's Heart, Our Sacred Secret Weapon, the strength to try one more time! For greater love hath no heart than that it lay down its life to rid the planet of its Number One Human Tumor.
This is what that hate mongerer wrote and what Adrianna Huffington allowed to be associated with her name.
I am not a religious type but I also see a great disrespect to use the "O'Lord" in that piece.
What kind of monster writes or allows this kind of garbage to be spouted in their name? How much hatred do you have to have in your heart to wish for a man to have a heart attack? My mother had two of them and to wish this on anyone, no matter what your personal feelings for that person is, this is the vilest type of hatred, no better than the enemy we fight today called al-Qaeda. They really should recruit from that site.
Then we have others who show how much hate they have in their hearts with words and actions and downright lies, shown here.
Everything they accuse others of doing -- exploiting national security for domestic political gain, being 'unserious' about war matters, playing games with the mission of the troops -- is what they do as transparently as possible. And note how they used a senior military official to make the disgusting claim that the violence in Iraq was related to a desire to help Democrats win the midterm election: "A U.S. military spokesman in Iraq last week attributed the increase in violence at least partly to terrorists who want to influence the American vote."
The idea that the sectarian violence in Iraq, which has been spiraling out of control since the beginning of the year, had anything to do with trying to make Democrats win the election was always as transparently false -- stupid even -- as it was repugnant. Yet they say anything, and the media largely lets them get away with it.
So, either Mr. Greenwald is once again simply telling outright lies or he never bothered to look up the original article that shows that the politicians were simply REPEATING al-Qaeda's words.
It was in the Washington Post, so it would NOT have been hard for him to do a little fact checking.
After American warplanes killed al-Qaeda in Iraq leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi in June, his successor, Abu Ayyub al-Masri, called on followers to concentrate attacks on U.S. troops and Shiite militiamen, soldiers and police. In September, Masri urged every insurgent in Iraq to kill at least one American within 15 days.
The Egyptian-born Masri wanted redoubled attacks "to have a great effect on the American elections," said Abu Islam al-Arabi, a local al-Qaeda leader reached by telephone Thursday in Anbar province.
I suppose somehow the Bush administration also got Abu Ayyub al-Masri to say this, in some vast conspiracy that exists in Mr. Greenwalds mind.
Don't count on him acknowledging the facts about who said it first, because like the NYT and the mainstream media, they do not care to deal in facts, they prefer their fantasy world.
People like this are so filled with hatred that they cannot acknowledge truth, even when it hits them in the head with a shovel.
At least they have shown their true colors.
Nuff said.
