The next in the series of good news coming from Iraq.Usually the response to this series goes from one extreme to the other. Either someone is very grateful to finally get to see the good news that CNN won't report, or people get downright hostile because seeing anything good coming from Iraq shows them that everything they have been spoon fed by the MSM is not accurate.
They tell you about the death and destruction and that there is no good news. They lie and some people swallow it, hook, line and sinker.
11/03/06- BAGHDAD – Special Iraqi Army forces, with coalition advisors, detained three suspects during an operation this morning in Sadr City to capture the leader and members of an illegal armed group murder and kidnapping cell which attacks, injures and kills innocent Iraqi citizens and security forces.
11/03/06- CAMP FALLUJAH, Iraq – Iraqi Police officers detained eight Iraqi local nationals, including three of the Fallujah mayor’s personal security officers, for suspected insurgent activity after receiving attacks from a government building Friday in downtown Fallujah.
11/03/06- BAGHDAD, Iraq — Coalition Forces killed an estimated 13 terrorists, detained one suspected terrorist and seized a cache of explosives during two associated raids early Friday morning near Al Mahmudiyah.
As Coalition Forces approached the two objective areas, they attempted to call out the personnel within both buildings. None of the personnel responded to the Coalition Forces’ attempts to allow them to peacefully surrender.
As a result, Coalition Forces attempted to enter the buildings, at which time they were encountered by five armed individuals, one of whom was wearing a suicide vest. Coalition Forces engaged and killed these five terrorists.
During the initial engagement, an estimated eight armed personnel fled the target area and were subsequently engaged and killed by close air support and ground forces.
Intelligence reports identified the location of a suspected terrorist with ties to the al-Qaeda in Iraq network and a foreign fighter network. Several of the terrorists killed appeared to be foreign fighters.
During clearance of the objective area, ground forces discovered a cache consisting of multiple explosives, hand grenades and suicide vests, which were destroyed onsite.
Coalition Forces are making progress dismantling the AQIZ terrorist network inside Iraq. The results of today’s raid reduce the ability of the terrorist network to operate, and increases the safety of all Iraqi citizens, Iraqi forces, and Iraq’s Multi-National partners.
11/04/06- BAGHDAD – Special Iraqi Police Forces, with coalition advisors, captured a suspected improvised explosive device cell leader and a suspected illegal armed group commander responsible for IED attacks against Iraqi civilians and security forces during an air-assault raid Nov. 4 near Musayyib.
The IED cell leader directed the construction and emplacement of IEDs used in multiple attacks against Iraqi civilians, Iraqi security forces and coalition forces in the area. Captured also was an illegal armed group commander who directed the actions of the IED cell and other cells involved in the murder of Iraqi civilians and security forces and other criminal activity.
Iraqi forces captured the two without incident. There were no Iraqi civilian, Iraqi forces or coalition forces casualties.
11/04/06- BAGHDAD – Special Iraqi Army forces, with coalition advisors, conducted a raid Nov. 3 in the Jihad district of Baghdad and captured two members of an illegal armed group cell responsible for constructing improvised explosive devices and car bombs used in attacks that injure and kill Iraqi civilians and Iraqi security forces.
The cell also trains other cells in producing IEDs and car bombs. IA forces detained seven additional suspected cell members during the raid and confiscated two Iraqi Army uniforms.
The operation caused minimal damage and there were no Iraqi civilians, Iraq forces or coalition forces casualties.
This is what the major news stations avoid talking about. Our successes, our troops taking the insurgents and the terrorists our of commission, one step at a time. THEY understand that time and patience is the key and steady determination affords them their goals.
The Democrats and the left media would have you believe all is doomed for our soldiers in Iraq, that could not be father from the truth.
We must remember that 14 out of 18 provinces in Iraq live in relative peace. Their children are happy, their quality of lofe has improved. The naysayers claim that three years in Iraq is more a mess than when we started... they lie. 4 Provinces are prone to violence and items such as those in todays Good news from Iraq series, brings us closer every day into those 14 provinces becoming 15, then 16 and so on, until all 18 are under control.
Remember also, the terrorists want you to vote Democratic in this election because of how close we actually ARE to finishing the job. They know their only hope to win is to play on the Democratic party to try to force us to leave so they win by default.
This is what they are counting on. Then they will be back on American soil.
