Are We Safer Yet?

Headline from CBS states that al-Qaeda may be planning holiday attacks.

Now, let me get this straight, even though the Democrats won the election and the whole WORLD knows they want to "cut and run" from Iraq, which is supposed to make us safer here in America according to the liberals and the Democratic party, al-Qaeda is STILL going to attack us?

Say it ain't so!!!!!!!

I mean we all know that we were attacked on 9/11 because we were in Iraq and Afghanistan right? NO, you say? OH thats right!!!!!! We weren't in Iraq and Afghanistan before 9/11. Ok, so whats the deal?

If everyone believes the Democrats which took majority in the house and senate are going to pull out of Iraq, which the Dems claimed was the reason they want to attack us, then why the hell is al-Qaeda still planning to attack us? I don't get it.

"One suspect said plans for repeating the Heathrow attempt (a reference to the failed 'liquid bomb' plot interrupted in August) were all prepared. It is now a matter of taking action," said one Arab official who asked not to be named because he is not authorized to speak to the media. "Al Qaeda's strategy appears to be raising the pressure in Europe."

In a move that has been puzzling intelligence agencies, al Qaeda has been withdrawing well-trained Arab fighters from the mountains and battlefields of Afghanistan.

Rohan Gunaratna, head of terrorism research at Singapore's Institute for Defense and Strategic Studies, and the author of "Inside Al Qaeda; Global Network of Terror," said "We have seen that several hundred, perhaps five to six hundred al Qaeda members who were located on the Afghan-Pakistan border, have now left."

Gunaratna adds that these al Qaeda members have returned "to their own home countries, particularly to Iraq, and also to other Middle Eastern countries such as Saudi Arabia and Yemen. We have seen a shift in Al Qaeda's thinking, in strategy."

I see, they are sending them to their home countries, particularly IRAQ, which makes sense, since they always said that when the Americans left, they would fill the void and have control of Iraq. Of course this is starting to make sense, they are preparing to do just that as soon as those lovely Dems get our country to withdraw. It all makes sense now. Whew!!!!

"There is very little al Qaeda Arabs can do today in the Afghanistan/Pakistan theater," said Gunaratna. "Firstly, they will be spotted and they will be killed or captured. Second, today in Afghanistan Arabs are not really required to fight the coalition and U.S. forces, because the Taliban are very well trained and very well motivated."

No problem al-Qaeda, thanks to the liberals and the democrats you will soon be safer in Iraq than in Afghanistan, after all the Democrats promised you that!!!!!!

"We believe that today the Arabs are much more useful to bin Laden if they are deployed in their home countries, particularly in the Middle East, to target Western assets, Western interests. Because of that we have seen a shift in al Qaeda thinking and al Qaeda strategy in encouraging members to leave Afghanistan and Pakistan," says Gunaratna.

So, anyone feel safer yet?

Our troops don't...in fact one said that thanks to the liberals and Democrats, they are now easy targets.

Realize this also.. you have just put a heavy price on the heads of us all...... Now that we are branded as cowards, we are an easy target, oh so inviting for the taking....... I swore to protect your children in your beds.... yet you fling the door wide open inspite of me to invite the scourge.... Well.... have it your way then.

Remember also, that same soldier in Iraq makes it clear that the next time we are attacked, and you can bet your ass we will be, these same soldiers do not care to offer to protect you anymore.

Realize this, because of your action this week America.... do not expect so many men to be so willing to stand up for your next little whim just to be cut down in the middle of it all............

Because of this, September 11th will soon be overshadowed by these same enemies.. my advice to you is get your lazy, self centered ass up and make peace with your God, and your family.. cause, time will come when they may not be there for you................Because you kicked me in the teeth, and so many others, I know I won't any more.. "

Feel safer yet? No? Why not? You are getting exactly what you asked for.

al-Qaeda said quite clearly, it doesn't matter WHAT the Democrats do about Iraq, they are still going to continue until they "blow up the White House".

"We announce today the end of a phase of the jihad (holy war) and the start of a new one... to usher in the project of an Islamic caliphate and restore Islam's glory," Abu Hamza al-Muhajer said in the message.

"We swear we will not rest from our jihad... before blowing up the filthiest house, dubbed the White House," in the course of establishing the caliphate which began with the proclamation of an Islamic state in Iraq, he said.

WOW, it has been a hell of a week, hasn't it? We have managed to make the all the terrorists celebrate by giving them what they wanted. We have managed to tell them we will give them Iraq unconditionally. We have managed to offend and demoralize our soldiers and we have managed to assure everyone in the world that we are weak and pathetic.

Hell of a week indeed. I sure feel safer, do you?

Now, before all our friendly lefty commenters go bananas, I am not suggesting that the Democrats agree with all the various dirtbags who are rejoicing their victory. I am, however, willing to say this: When you cite "world opinion" of George W. Bush as a reason to vote against him or his party, you cannot then object if others cite the opinions of enemies and adversaries who delight in your victory.

Well said.
