Well it seems that CREW is already disputing the FBI in the investigation that has been recently started.
Law enforcement officials said the allegations by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) are without merit, and they stood by allegations that the group had refused to provide some information to the FBI.
Then in another excerpt:
In subsequent days, unidentified Justice and FBI officials told reporters that the e-mails provided by CREW were heavily redacted and that the group refused to provide unedited versions to the FBI. One law enforcement official -- speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss an ongoing investigation -- also told The Washington Post the FBI believed that CREW may have received the e-mails as early as April and that the group refused to tell the FBI how they were obtained.
Seems Rick Moran is on to something about something being very fishy with this Crew Group and with the Stop Sex Predators blog and how it obtained the original emails.
Little Green Footballs has a very interesting entry in the comment section, that with a little investigative legwork, might just help us answer some of Rick's original questions about SSP.
This seems to indicate that the owner of SSP is in the Royal Oak, Michigan area. The Internet service provider WIDEOPENWEST, services two of the three zip codes for the area of Royal Oak, MI---the 48067 and the 48073 zip codes. The third zip code is not serviced by WIDEOPENWEST.
The Internet provider itself is located in East Lansing.
Latest updates.[UPDATE] 10/06/06. Well this is almost like having another job, but I have managed to narrow it down to SSP being owned by someone in Oakland County, 48073 zip code, area code 248. Slow going, but I am determined now, it is turned into a mission!!!!!

I posted yesterday about SSP and some very strange things going on there in the last couple days. Namely the fact that whoever is writing there is a little "indignant" about perhaps being investigated themselves.

Glen Reynolds who created instantpundit.com in August 2001, who is also a law professor at the University of Tennessee says this about the SSP blog.

Considering the secrecy that surrounds this newly established blog, and the timing of the Foley emails just coincidentally being dropped into SSP's lap, gives his opinion a certain amount of credibility.
