Michael McConnell over at Wall Street Journal reminds readers of Article II, Section 3, of the Constitution, which states the president "shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed." McConnell also highlights this is not a "discretionary power," but instead is a duty entrusted to the president of the united States of America.
The exact language in Section 1513(d) states "The amendments made by this section shall apply to months beginning after December 31, 2013."
McConnell points to two other examples:
This is not the first time Mr. Obama has suspended the operation of statutes by executive decree, but it is the most barefaced. In June of last year, for example, the administration stopped initiating deportation proceedings against some 800,000 illegal immigrants who came to the U.S. before age 16, lived here at least five years, and met a variety of other criteria. This was after Congress refused to enact the Dream Act, which would have allowed these individuals to stay in accordance with these conditions. Earlier in 2012, the president effectively replaced congressional requirements governing state compliance under the No Child Left Behind Act with new ones crafted by his administration.
The above aforementioned examples aren't the only times Barack Obama has played "King Obama" rather than president as he was elected to be.
The oath of office taken by presidents is specified in Article II, Section 1, of the Constitution:
I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.
Preserve, protect and defend the Constitution, or in King Obama's world, dismantle, attack and toss away any portion of the Constitution he doesn't favor.
Part of that Constitution was mentioned at the beginning of this post, Article II, Section 3, presidents "shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed."

DOMA
No matter what side of the issue you come down on, the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) was signed into law by president Bill Clinton and it was Obama's presidential duty to defend the law, yet in 2011, before the Supreme Court deemed Section 3 of the law as unconstitutional, Barack Obama directed the Department of Justice to stop "defending" it in court.
RECESS APPOINTMENTS
A recess appointment is the appointment, by the President of the United States, of a senior federal official while the U.S. Senate is in recess.
In 2007, to prevent George Bush from making recess appointments, Senate majority leader Harry Reid started holding pro-forma Senate sessions, which is a brief meeting of the Senate, sometimes only minutes, in order to technically assert the Senate is not in recess.
During Obama's term, Republicans did the same thing, but Barack Obama decided the rules, the laws, didn't apply to him and named recess appointments while the Senate was still in session using the same procedure Reid used in 2007.
Two appeals courts have upheld a D.C. Circuit ruling which determines Obama's appointments were made illegally and were unconstitutional.
FAST AND FURIOUS
When Attorney General Eric Holder refused to provide documents pertaining to the failed gun walking operation named "Fast and Furious," Congress issued a subpoena for those documents and King Obama decided to protect Holder and the DOJ, by claiming executive privilege on the information to thwart the Congressional investigation.
ICE vs OBAMA
When Obama declared that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)were not allowed to do their jobs in arresting illegal immigrants, ICE went to court charging that unconstitutional and illegal directives from DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano and ICE Director John Morton order the agents to violate federal laws or face adverse employment actions.
Federal Judge Federal Judge Reed O’Connor ruled the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) that they had no power to refuse to deport illegal aliens, and that he was likely to strike down Obama’s virtual “DACA” amnesty for millions of illegal aliens."

DEEP WATER DRILLING BAN
Via CATO: Following the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, the Interior Department issued a blanket six-month moratorium on new oil and gas drilling in the Gulf of Mexico. A federal judge struck down that moratorium as arbitrary and capricious, but the government issued a new order to replace the one that was struck down. That order was subsequently withdrawn, but the judge was so shocked by the administration’s conduct that he found the government in civil contempt of court.
The list goes on and on and other examples include but are not limited to;
• An end-run around the Supreme Court's Citizen United decision on political contributions, via royal decree aka executive order.
• Offering healthcare waivers to some while denying others without authorization by Congress.
• The secret collection of data, by the NSA, on millions of American citizens, including credit card purchases, pharmacy records, library records, firearm sales records, financial information, and a range of other sensitive subjects violating privacy laws.
From the beginning of Obama's presidency, he has acted as though he were a king, rather than a president which must abide by the laws of the U.S. and he continues to do so, unhindered, despite the attempts of the House of Representatives to reign in this out of control president, because the Democratically controlled Senate refuses to help the GOP apply the brakes on 'King" Obama and his constant habit of suspending the law and the constitution when he doesn't agree with it.
