A young girl is displaying symptoms from a brain eating parasite after a day at Willow Springs Water Park in Arkansas, which has now been shut down, according to the news clip below.
Doctors say the parasitic meningitis the girl is displaying symptoms of is rare, and almost always deadly. Parasitic meningitis is caused by the amoeba Naegleria fowleri and is typically found in freshwater or soil.
It enters through the nose, attacks the brain and the symptoms include headache, vomiting and fever, leading to seizures and hallucinations.
