Republican Takes Mass Senate Seat For The First Time In Decades

The voters of Massachusetts have made a clear statement about their unhappiness with how Washington has been run, clearly, by electing a Republican, Scott Brown into the Massachusetts Senate seat formerly held by Ted Kennedy.

The Associated Press reports that Brown has won the race, causing the biggest political upset in recent history.

In an epic upset in liberal Massachusetts, Republican Scott Brown rode a wave of voter anger to defeat Democrat Martha Coakley in a U.S. Senate election Tuesday that left President Barack Obama's health care overhaul in doubt and marred the end of his first year in office.

With 87% percent of the votes counted, Brown has 52.4 percent of the vote and Coakley has 46.6 percent.

The game is over and hopefully this is a sign of what November is going to look like for the Republicans vs Democrats.
