PLO lashes out at Al-Jazeera over conflict coverage.
RAMALLAH, West Bank (AFP) - A senior Palestinian official on Sunday accused pan-Arab Al-Jazeera television of favouring Hamas in its coverage of the battles between the Islamists and rival Fatah.
"Al-Jazeera is an accomplice in the crimes committed by the (Hamas) militias... against our people," Yasser Abed Rabbo, secretary general of the executive committee of the Palestine Liberation Organisation, told Palestinian radio.
"It has become a mouthpiece for these militias and has remained silent about their crimes," said the close ally of Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas, the leader of Fatah.
Fatah can deal with it, after all, WE have been dealing with our news meida, such as the NYT, CNN, Wapo and the AP, doing the exact same thing.... being the mouth piece of our enemies.
It is not a new problem and until they die their slow, natural death and the new media takes over, it is something we all know and just ignore these days.
The New York Times enjoys splashing classified leaked information all over the world without regard to how it endangers us or our troops in the field.
The New York Times also shows videoes of our dying soldiers BEFORE the soldiers family is notified.
Wapo does its best to ignore most of the news and simply report what matches its political agenda.
CNN shows videos that they admit were given to them from our terrorist enemies, then go a step further and offer that same video "on demand" for pay.
The AP creates fictional "sources" named Jamil.
So, you will excuse me if I really am not surprised nor care that Al-Jazeera does the same thing.
