We have heard from Barack Obama, we have seen evidence via Syrian rebels uploaded videos which contradicts everything Obama has said about who attacked the Syrian people with chemical weapons. We have heard from Russian President Vladimir Putin. Iran, China, the UK, in fact almost everyone has weighed in except the man accused of attacking his own people with chemical weapons.
Until now.
PBS' Charlie Rose has interviewed the Syrian President, Bashar Assad, at the presidential palace in Damascus on Sunday morning, and while the full interview is due to be aired on Monday on PBS's "Charlie Rose" show, Rose speaks with Bob Schieffer on Face the Nation Sunday morning about his interview with President Bashar al-Assad, shown below.
Portions of the interview will be broadcast beginning Monday on "CBS This Morning," where Rose is a co-host. Excerpts will then be available across all CBS News platforms, including cbsnews.com and the CBS Evening News.
"He basically said there has been no evidence that I've used chemical weapons against my own people, and if in fact the administration has evidence then they should show that evidence and make their case," says Rose.
