In what is being called the Democrats' "brutal" weekend, bad news after bad news was being reported, starting with an Associated Press-Knowledge Networks poll which states that only half of those who voted for Obama in 2008 will be showing up at the polls and one quarter of Obama supporters "are defecting to the GOP or considering voting against the party in power this fall."For the last week we have seen Barack Obama and Democrats step up attacks on organizations such as the Chamber of Commerce and other Political Action Committees (PACS) accusing them of using foreign donations to fund political attacks against Democrats. The DNC has even gone as far as to create an advertisement stating "Tell the Bush crowd and the Chamber of Commerce: Stop stealing our democracy."
What they have neglected to mention however, yet was reported on this weekend by The Hill and others, is that Democrats have raised twice as much as the GOP from PACS affiliated with foreign entities.
Democratic leaders in the House and Senate criticizing GOP groups for allegedly funneling foreign money into campaign ads have seen their party raise more than $1 million from political action committees affiliated with foreign companies.
House and Senate Democrats have received approximately $1.02 million this cycle from such PACs, according to an analysis compiled for The Hill by the Center for Responsive Politics. House and Senate GOP leaders have taken almost $510,000 from PACs on the same list.
All legal, on both sides but using that as a last ditch desperate attempt to confuse American citizens have become the norm for Obama and Democrats in fear of losing majorities in both the House and the Senate.
Political handicappers such as Stu Rothenberg, Charlie Cook and Larry Sabato have expanded their predictions "to envision the possibility of a Democratic wipeout", according to The Politico.
Analyst Stu Rothenberg pegs the number of competitive seats at 100. Charlie Cook says it's 97. Virtually all of those seats are held by Democrats.
Rothenberg is predicting a likely Republican gain of 40 to 50 seats, with 60 seats possible. Republicans need a net pickup of 39 seats to take the House.

Key races in blue states slipped further from the Republicans’ grasp, and Senate Republicans’ campaign chief, John Cornyn, declined to predict on "Fox News Sunday" that his party will win the upper chamber.
That’s what passed for good news for Democrats, on a weekend when the money followed the GOP momentum at full gallop. In the House, at least 40 House Democrats were outraised by GOP opponents. In the Senate, the Republican candidate had the third-quarter fundraising edge in all but three of the top 20 races, according to a POLITICO review of campaign finance data.
Republicans in these marquee races also are sitting on stockpiles of cash for the stretch run — $50 million in all, a $16 million edge over their Democratic Senate rivals.
Entering the final two weeks, it seemed that no serious Republican hopeful would go wanting for cash — between their own fundraising, party committees and the independent conservative groups like American Crossroads, which pledged to join with other GOP groups to spend $50 million on TV ads slamming House Democrats.
Other bad news includes FactCheck.org slamming the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC)for running ads against Republicans which omit pertinent facts, therebye misleading the electorate.
Research supplied by FairTax.org shows that Democrats in 16 districts have run at least 31 ads blasting Republicans for supporting the tax. But many of these ads neglect to mention the levy is essentially a national sales tax that would replace the current federal tax system.
FactCheck.org recently slammed the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) for running ads that omitted this fact.
“Democrats are accusing Republicans of supporting a 23 percent sales tax on everything, which would be on top of all existing taxes… it’s misrepresenting by omission of the FairTax idea,” FactCheck.org director Brooks Jackson told The Hill.
“When people try to sell it on false evidence we step in,” he added.
Added to the news that Democratic politicians are renouncing Nancy Pelosi, more insurers are raising premiums stating clearly that the cause is Obamacare with Anthem being the latest reported that will raise them up to 47 percent and challenges to the constitutionality of the Obamacare individual mandate being allowed to go forward by a Florida judge who busts the Obama administration on directly lying to the American public.
Two weeks until the midterm elections where the American voters decide whether they approve of how Democrats have run Washington in the last two years or whether they will replace leadership in the House of Representatives and/or the Senate, and Barack Obama has decided that the best course of action is tell America they are "scared" and not "thinking clearly".
That is his reasoning for the major projected losses his party is planning for.
I guess it hasn't yet occurred to him that the American public is simply planning to reject his agenda.
