For the first time since Hillary Clinton suspended her presidential campaign leaving Barack Obama as the presumptive nominee for the Democratic party, the "victor and vanquished" will appear together in Washington next week.
The event will be held at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington and Mantz wrote in the email, "As we move forward, we invite you to join us for a National Finance Committee meeting with both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama on Thursday, June 26th in Washington, D.C., to discuss how we can work together to support Barack Obama and the Democratic Party."
The Clinton campaign is encouraging their supporters to contribute $2,300 to Obama's campaign.
On Thursday of this week Hillary Clinton will hold a conference call with her donors and according to a Clinton supporter who is not named in the Daily News article, "They're trying to do the right thing. Whether they're ecstatic about it or not, I don't know."
Yesterday it was reported that the Barack Obama campaign had hired Patti Solis Doyle, a former ousted Clinton staffer, to which some news accounts have called a deliberate snub, with other Clinton supporters calling that move "the biggest 'f**k you I have ever seen", so it was not clear if or when Hillary Clinton would come out publicly in a joint appearance with Obama, until this event at the Mayflower Hotel was announced.
