Before the elections I posted a series about our Military and their opinion on Iraq. These are men on the ground IN Iraq, soldiers that fight there every day. These are the voices that went ignored on elections day. So, elections are over, what is done is done, the troops who fight and die in Iraq every day obviously don't mean enough to the people here in the US to even listen to. That will not stop me from bringing those words to you whenever I see them. Military blogs folks. Search them and read them and understand how much disrespet we have shown those valiant soldiers by ignoring them.
Now we have our Military's response to the elections, Veterans and active duty troops alike.
First is Black Five, in response to Nancy Pelosi's comment: "not a war to be won but a situation to be solved."
I expect a certain amount of ignorance and naivete about the military and war overall among Democrats, although there are exceptions, but Nancy Pelosi is setting a new standard. In an interview on FOX news she manages to perfectly encapsulate why she and the Dems overall have no idea what we are really doing. Right, and that will really make our troops fighting and dying in this situation feel a whole lot better. Thank you Madame Speaker, for that show of your deep understanding and acknowledgement that you don't even know what color the clue bag is. A situation to be solved, a spot of bother, maybe a sticky wicket, but a war? Certainly not, that would require a win or loss or maybe a tie like Korea. Madame Speaker is neatly sidestepping that whole quagmire and rebranding this as The Iraq Situation.

Yup, it’s Vietnam. They are going to get a lot of good people killed with their complete and utter lack of understanding or concern of what their actions/language is going to bring to this country. Hey lefties, thanks. Get the troops out now. No more blood for cowards.

Funny isn't it how they've all completely changed their tune? Not funny for our dead or maimed servicemen and woman though. Or their families. The new congress is going to take us back to the days of dhimmi carter. Perhaps its appropriate that we go back to what essentially fired up the islamonazis and got us to this point. We've come full circle and Americans and the party they've put into power have learned nothing.

Hat Tip to Amy Proctor for this wonderfully written piece, which got me thinking about our soldiers and how THEIR opinions seem to mean less to everyone than our politicians. Their opinions mean less than those that sit on their asses and watch CNN and think they know more than the Military.
They fight for us, they die for us and yet when they speak, we ignore them. Does that sound right to you?
