Good News From Iraq Part #1


Those coming from Truth Laid bear, here is Good News From Iraq part #2. TTLB had the wrong URL.

Since the left media and the Democratic party seem to only focus on the bad news from Iraq, I am going to dedicate some time to the
good news in Iraq. Didn't think there was any? WRONG. There is and plenty of it.

These are todays news releases:

10/23/06: BAGHDAD Coalition Forces killed an insurgent Monday morning as they conducted movement to a suspected terrorist location south of Balad and later destroyed a building associated with terrorist activities, killing four more.

10/23/06- BAGHDADMulti-National Division – Baghdad Soldiers discovered two large weapons caches in western Baghdad Saturday and Sunday.

Soldiers from 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, attached to MND-B, found a large weapons cache in western Baghdad at approximately 11 p.m. Saturday.

The cache contained 64 rifle grenades, 24 60mm mortar rounds, 19 155mm fuses, six missiles of unknown size, a helicopter rocket, a homemade bomb, 13 130mm fuses, seven sticks of C4 explosive, eight blocks of TNT, two cans of 7.62mm ammunition and 700 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition.

Later, Soldiers from 2nd BCT, discovered a second cache in western Baghdad.

10/23/06- BAGHDAD, IraqCoalition Forces detained a suspected terrorist in Mosul today during a raid targeting a high-level Al-Qaeda leader considered one of the main foreign terrorist facilitators in Iraq.

10/23/06- BAGHDADIraqi army soldiers detained three members of a sniper team Thursday evening while conducting operations in Ghazaliya, a neighborhood in northern Baghdad.

10/22/06- BAGHDADIraqi National Police from 3rd Battalion, 5th Brigade, 2nd National Police Division, seized weapons and munitions when they searched the Al Kur Mosque and nearby houses Thursday in Mansour, a muhalla in western Baghdad.

10/22/06- SADIYAH, IraqIraqi Army and Coalition Force Soldiers captured a suspected arms dealer as well as 15 other individuals Oct. 22 during a raid near Sadiyah, Iraq after receiving valuable tips from local citizens.

10/21/06- BAGHDADCoalition Forces killed one suspected terrorist and detained seven other suspected terrorists, to include a close associate of the targeted terrorist, during a raid in Ramadi Saturday morning.

I will be updating with more good news, because if the left media and the Democratic party won't tell the truth, we have to.

[UPDATE] I would like to mention two wonderful articles I have just read on the real clear politics page. One was written by Micael Barone called "Uneasy for a reason" and the other from Tim Hames called " Thanks for the Liferaft, Matthew, but I'm not about to jump shipover Iraq".
Both articles are fabulous and well worth the time it will take to read them.
