Two girls, one 13 yrs old and one 10 yrs old, out riding an all terrain vehicle had a tragic accident and both fell into a mine shaft in Chloride, North Western Arizona. The 13 yrs old died and the 10 yr old has been taken to the University Medical Center in Las Vegas after suffering major injuries.
The girls went missing about 7 p.m. Saturday and never came back. Officials searched for the girls and discovered they were in a mine shaft at about 6:20 a.m. in Chloride, about 17 miles north of Kingman.
Sheriff's spokeswoman Sandy Edwards said she did not know how far down the girls fell into the shaft. She did not know the girls' relationship.
