By Susan Duclos - All News PipeLine

“I took an oath that I would support and defend the constitution and the freedoms that entails, and I really feel like those are being trampled upon"Military veteran Tyler Truitt

Below this article will be the contact information for the city of Huntsville, Alabama along with the Mayor's name and number and the city administrators name and number. After reading and listening to what the city of Huntsville is doing to this veteran, we ask that readers contact the city and respectfully tell them what you think.
In August 2013, outgoing Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano made it very clear that not if, but when, a massive attack occurred, or a natural disaster caused the power grid to go down. According to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission all it would take to plunge the entire nation into darkness for more than a year would be to knock out a transformer manufacturer and just 9 of our 55,000 electrical substations on a really hot summer day. In 2010, Frank Gaffney, president of the Center for Security Policy said that if an EMP knocked out the grid within a year "nine out of 10 Americans would be dead, because we can’t support a population of the present size in urban centers and the like without electricity."

Would you be the one-in-10 that would survive such a scenario?

Mr. Tyler Truitt, quoted above,  would be because he bought a couple acres of land, and created a self-sustaining lifestyle, off the grid, where he and his girlfriend live and are able to survive off the land, and the city of Huntsville, Alabama is threatening them with arrest for doing so.

Tyler Truitt and his girlfriend Soraya Hamar live on two-acres that they own and are completely self sufficient, as Truitt explains "We live out here off the grid, 100 percent self-sustaining. So I basically made all my utilities: I have my solar panels, I have my rainwater collection and stuff."

"They came and they condemned our house and told us if we stayed here we'd be arrested for trespassing on our own property, and the reason why is, they said, it was unsafe living conditions because we don't have city utilities hooked up," Truitt explained.

The former military member says he just wants the freedoms he swore he'd protect.

"I took an oath that I would support and defend the constitution and the freedoms that entails, and I really feel like those are being trampled upon," Truitt said.

Truitt is prepared to fight for his property. "You have to stand up for what you believe in. They could come out here today if they wanted to and take us to jail for trespassing if that's what they want to call it and, you know, that'd be fine with me. I'll still come back the next day and the next day and the next day because it's my home and because I live here. Where else am I supposed to go really?"

You will hear Mr. Truitt in the video below explaining the situation he finds himself in where he has to fight for the very rights he swore to defend for others when he joined the military.

This is another direct attack against suvivalists.

Listen to his story and beneath the video you will find contact information for the city.
