The H1N1 flu virus aka Swine Flu that was responsible for the 2009-2010 pandemic which killed hundreds of thousands of people worldwide, is spreading across the US and Canada again.
In Indiana the Elkhart General Hospital and the St. Joseph County Health Department are reporting a 20-30 percent increase of patients with the H1N1 virus, some patients critically ill with deaths reported.
The situation has gotten so bad that Dr. David Van Ryn at Elkhart General Hospital says they are limiting visitors to try to prevent further spread of the fast spreading virus.
At IU Health Goshen, twice as many people were hospitalized with the flu in December 2013 than that same month the previous year, according to spokeswoman Melanie McDonald.
In isn't only the H1N1 but also a variant of the Swine flu, the H3N2v has struck 29 states and there is no vaccine available for this variant, as reported earlier at Before It's News with a chart that is terrifying.
