The Obama Campaign's (Voter) Anger Management Problem- January Through April

By Susan Duclos

WAR ON RELIGION

In February, in the midst of dealing with the voter anger over the Keystone fiasco, the Obama administration clumsily announces plans to implement an HHS mandate, part of Obamacare, that would force religious institutions to provide insurance that offers contraception products and sterilization and abortion-inducing drugs to women, for free.

Religious groups quickly united behind Catholics as they dubbed Obama's HHS mandate the "war on religion". Letters by Bishops were written and read in Churches across the country.

Example:

"The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced last week that almost all employers, including Catholic employers, will be forced to offer their employees' health coverage that includes sterilization, abortion-inducing drugs, and contraception. Almost all health insurers will be forced to include those "services" in the health policies they write. And almost all individuals will be forced to buy that coverage as a part of their policies."--- Portion of a letter written by Bishop of Marquette, that was read in Catholic Churches across the country

Protests were scheduled in cities across America, hearings were held where Catholic, Lutheran, Baptist and Jewish Leaders Swore They Would Not Comply To Obama's Abortion Mandate. Religious groups filed lawsuits, seven states' Attorney Generals filed lawsuits, and to date, 15 states have passed laws opting out of the HHS Mandate.

Also in February, Secretary Timothy Geithner admitted that Barack Obama's budget, even if implemented, was unsustainable.

Other February news included, Former Democratic politicians explaining how they were misled and regret their vote for Obamacare. Sitting Democratic Senator, Mary Landrieu (D-LA), also accuses Obama's administration of misleading the public, her gripe is on drilling.
