College President Recommends Board Fire Teacher Who Forced Students To Pledge Vote For Obama

After a three month investigation into allegations that Sharon Sweet, an associate professor of mathematics at Brevard Community College in Florida, forced her students to sign a pledge to vote for Barack Obama in the 2012 presidential election and Democrats up and down the ticket, the college president,  James Richey is recommending the Board of Trustees fire her.

According to the report from the official investigation, it states Sweet's actions  "constitute harassment, incompetence, misconduct and unprofessional behavior in the workplace in violation of Section 308.3, BCC Procedures Manual, and Section 400.4, BCCBoard Policy Governance Manual."
