Man In Critical Condition After Beaten By African-American 'Mob': QUOTE 'Now that’s justice for Trayvon '

By Susan Duclos

Video clip below is of the news report on Matthew Owens, now in critical condition after a mob of African-Americans beat him with items such as "chairs, pipes and paint cans," with Owen's sister who witnessed the attack saying that as the attackers walked away, leaving Owen bleeding on the ground, one of them said "Now that's justice for Trayvon."

The original report from WKRG News:

 Monday 6:55 p.m.
Mobile police need your help to catch a mob that beat Matthew Owens so badly that he's in critical condition.

According to police, Owens fussed at some kids playing basketball in the middle of Delmar Drive about 8:30 Saturday night. They say the kids left and a group of adults returned, armed with everything but the kitchen sink.

Police tell News 5 the suspects used chairs, pipes and paint cans to beat Owens.

Owens' sister, Ashley Parker, saw the attack. "It was the scariest thing I have ever witnessed." Parker says 20 people, all African American, attacked her brother on the front porch of his home, using "brass buckles, paint cans and anything they could get their hands on."

Police will only say "multiple people" are involved.

What Parker says happened next could make the fallout from the brutal beating even worse. As the attackers walked away, leaving Owen bleeding on the ground, Parker says one of them said "Now thats justice for Trayvon." Trayvon Martin is the unarmed teenager police say was shot and killed February 26 by neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman in Samford, Florida.

Police canvassed the area, but did not find any suspects. They're asking anyone with information to call them at 251-208-7211, Crime Stoppers at 251-208-7000, or text a tip to 274637 and include the keyword CRIME 411.

Jim Treacher, via The Daily Caller:

Well done, Spike Lee. Nice job, NBC. Keep up the good work, ABC. And to everyone else who’s been using a shooting in Florida to foment hate and divide people by the color of their skin, kudos. Don’t let this attack, and similar attacks across America, bother you. If you had a conscience, we never would’ve heard of you in the first place.

Update: Thomas Sowell asks, “Who is ‘racist’?” Short answer: Anybody who doesn’t hate George Zimmerman on sight, apparently.

Treacher refers to the media malpractice and deliberate inflaming of racial tensions perpetrated by the mainstream media, which was discussed yesterday here by showing just how many of the Journalistic code of ethics media outlets like NBC and MSNBC have been breaking when reporting on the George Zimmerman/Trayvon Martin case. My question yesterday was "who holds the media accountable?'

Ace of Spades points out this is the third third documented racially-motivated attack in which the attackers explicitly cited "Justice for Trayvon" as a motivation or excuse for the brutal attacks. He also makes another point, "No national coverage of this racial hate crime pattern in the media.

Bruce McQuain over at Questions and Observations asks "How culpable is the news media and the left in this crime?

The altercation between George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin which resulted in the death of Martin had no witnesses to the whole event, therefore it is up to the courts to look at witness accounts of the portion of the altercation that they saw, 911 recorded tapes, medical records of Zimmerman's injuries and police statements from the time, to determine if Zimmerman is guilty of second degree murder which he has been charged with after massive protests, inflammatory race-baiting by groups and people looking for attention, and altered news audio were reported by the mainstream media.

The hate crime perpetrated on Owens and others are being done in front of witnesses, yet the media is conspicuously quiet about the nature of the crimes, to the point where many outlets are not even mentioning the words "hate crime."

How about Justice for Matthew Owens?

Good question.
