Liberal Racism- 'It's Racist' Cause Obama Is Black

By Susan Duclos

For the last three years every criticism, every time the right points to Obama's faults or failed policies, the far left screeches how racist those people are for daring to criticize a black president. Generally these people are screeching racism at every turn on articles or posts when not one single word of those pieces mention Obama's race.

We get another wonderful example of this today, when Tommy Christopher over at MediaIte, decides that Mitt Romney's campaign theme, "Obama Isn't Working," has racist overtones.

Via Mr. Christopher:

The slogan is a multiple entendre, but one of those entendres, intentionally or not, is evocative of a nasty racial stereotype about black men.

When I first saw the banner this afternoon, the multiple meanings were clear: President Obama‘s policies aren’t working, the Obama presidency isn’t working, President Obama…isn’t working, as in, doing any work. That’s not a nice thing to say about any president, but like it or not, it becomes a more loaded accusation when leveled at our first black president.

Just to be sure it wasn’t just me, though, I asked several friends about the banner, and four out of four pointed out, unprompted, the stereotype of the “lazy,” “shiftless” black man. One of the people I called was cable news fixture Goldie Taylor, who, upon hearing my description of the banner, said “Are you kidding me? You have got to be kidding me.”

She also noted the multiple meanings, and the unmistakable stereotype it evokes, but didn’t think it was intentional. “That’s what happens when you don’t surround yourself with a diverse array of people,” she said. “Maybe if Mitt Romney’s experience was more diverse, or the people he surrounds himself with, somebody would have looked at that banner and realized how it could be offensive to some people.”

A few things instantly came to mind when I read that piece.

The first thing to come to mind was perhaps it is Mr. Christopher and his "friends" are the ones not surrounding themselves with enough diversity to realize that they are the ones "stereotyping", they are the ones that instantly thought “lazy,” “shiftless” and "black man" when they read the banner from Romney's campaign stop.

The second thing that came to mind was that when someone says something against Obama as the sitting President, and Christopher and his little circle of friends are the first to scream Obama is black and the criticism has racial tones, perhaps they should look into the mirror and ask who really is the racist here?

The third thing that comes to mind is that Barack Obama has one black parent and one white parent so why do liberals keep referring to him as a "black man?" Isn't the politically correct term "biracial?"

Christopher admits the multiple meanings of Romney's theme are clear when he writes, "When I first saw the banner this afternoon, the multiple meanings were clear: President Obama‘s policies aren’t working, the Obama presidency isn’t working, President Obama…isn’t working, as in, doing any work."

Then Christopher takes a wrong turn somewhere when he decides that although the meanings are very clear, they are somehow different because they are "leveled at our first black president."

The only people that continue to harp on Obama's race are the ones screaming racism at every turn.

What does that make them?

Charles C. W. Cooke over at NRO sees the same thing, he just states it more eloquently:

What actually is racist is for someone to look at a pretty standard campaign slogan, notice that it triggered racist thoughts within them, and then project those thoughts onto somebody else before publicly impugning their motives. It wasnt Mitt Romney who considered there to be a link between the banner and an ugly stereotype, it was Tommy Christopher.

We have seven more months of this liberal racism to deal with. Just understand that whenever a criticism is leveled at Obama that the far left liberals cannot address or argue against, they are going to use their typical response of "RACISM."

Expect it, ignore it and move right along.

Romney has a complete website set up for those that want to browse around and the name of it is................... yup, you got it................ "Obama Isn't Working."
