Vets for Freedom Needs Your Help

From a Vets For Freedom email alert:

Vets for Freedom recently began airing an ad in support of Sen. Norm Coleman's stance on Iraq. (Watch the ad in support of Senator Coleman) The ad was designed to thank Sen. Coleman for his support for our troops and their mission in Iraq and Afghanistan, and encourage his continued support in September. We plan to run similar ads, in more states, in the coming weeks and months.

The ads are also meant to counter millions of dollars in TV ads being run by MoveOn.org and other liberal anti-war groups. You can watch the video here.

Vets for Freedom knows that these groups will spend millions of dollars to try and force Sen. Coleman, and other senators like him, to declare defeat in Iraq when General Petraeus reports to Congress in September. We need to do everything possible to oppose these groups. Keeping this ad running throughout the state of Minnesota costs money, and we need your help!.

We need your help to show the radical anti-war organizations that their ads will no longer go uncontested. If they produce ads attacking one of our nation's leaders for supporting the mission in Iraq, we will be there thanking that Senator for their support and letting the voters know that we support the troops and their mission.

Your contribution of $15, $35, $50 or more will be used to continue this fight over the airwaves. We know that most members of Congress who support our mission in Iraq today will continue to do so no matter how many anti-war groups campaign against him. But that doesn't mean they don't need our support. We want fight back for those who have fought for us.

If you're not sure if you should get involved, check out what radical anti-war groups are planning. They go so far as to "express solidarity with the resistance movements in [Iraq and Afghanistan]." Radical left-wing organizations are already airing ads in Minnesota and around the country, We can't let their voices be the only ones the country hears. There is too much at stake.

The anti-war left is loud, but together we can ensure that the voices of our fighting men and women are heard for generations to come.

Yours in victory,

Pete Hegseth

They are right folks, we cannot let the loud, shrill, screeching of the far left be the only voices heard on this issue. They are providing a way to counter that and anyone that can help in this effort, should.

We see from The Hill that there is a split in the anti-war left already as well as some of the tactics that will be used by the MoveOn organiztion against our Republican politicians.

The Americans Against Escalation in Iraq, a coalition that includes MoveOn, is mounting a multimillion-dollar campaign aimed at 23 senators and 70 representatives to chip away at support for Bush’s war strategy. The 10-week-long campaign includes nearly 100 organizers in 15 states. But its only targets are Republicans who have not supported a firm timetable for troop withdrawals.

So, head on over to Vets For Freedom, check out what they are doing, remember that Move America Forward also has their own plans and tens of thousands of people are taking to the streets, all converging on the Capitol on September 15th to show support for our troops and General Petraeus when he goes to give his Sept. Report.

Move America Forward is proud to partner with these organizations in this effort:
* Vets for Freedom* Gathering of Eagles
* Eagles Up!* OpposeReid.com
* Protest Warriors * Free Republic

If you cannot be there, then donate what you can, if you cannot donate, then cross post this, email this information to your friends that support our troops and their mission.

Lets help in any way we can.

Thanks---Spree
