Senator Edward Kennedy was rushed to the Cape Cod Hospital this morning with what is being called "stroke-like" symptoms.
Kennedy was transferred to Massachusetts General Hospital after spending about an hour at the Cape Cod Hospital.
The official line is that he is being "evaluated" but headline news says their sources say it is a very serious situation.
The Cape Cod Times reported that an ambulance was called to the compound about 8:30 a.m. After being treated for about two hours in the emergency room at the nearby hospital, he was flown to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Edward "Ted" Kennedy is 76 years old.
From the news reports coming out, it would appear Kennedy had a stroke, but no official word has come out with that diagnosis.
Headline news just reported that whatever affected Ted Kennedy was described by some as a 'seizure", not a stroke as originally reported.
This is what they said, but let me reiterate, no official word has come out with a diagnosis or facts about what exactly happened to Kennedy.
[Update] News is now reporting via headline news, that Kennedy suffered two seizures.
