Barack Obama has not even been sworn in yet as the 44th president of the United States but groups are springing up online calling for his impeachment.
On Facebook, an "Impeach Barack Obama" group has attracted more than 700 members and a lively debate about the Democrat's election victory on Tuesday over Republican John McCain.
Another Facebook group of the same name has 160 members and urges others to join because "we might as well get a head start on the impeachment of Obama."
While much information has been brought to the forefront about Barack Obama in the last months, calling for an impeachment of a President Elect who has not taken office or even preparing for it, does seem to be a bit premature and undoubtedly a waste of time since there is nothing he has done as President that is impeachable because he is not the president of the United states as of yet, he is the President Elect.
So I headed over to Facebook to take a look for myself and found the numbers used in the original story have already risen considerably as well as the number of Impeach Obama groups now span multiple pages.
The first Impeach Barack Obama group listed on the search of "Impeach Obama" has 2,707 members and has risen from 2,600 members just as I was writing this piece, with the following description:
Get on board if you want to be ready to impeach Barack Obama.
Each president recites the following oath, in accordance with Article II, Section I of the U.S. Constitution:
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
This group has been created under the assumption that it takes approximately 7 seconds for a modern day President to violate this oath. So we should be ready.

In reading the descriptions of the groups, it does seem most realize that Obama cannot be impeached before he ever takes office, but are instead preemptively assuming he will do something impeachable.
A note to people that are prepared to go this route- don't.
Conservatives have two years to work toward getting Republican politicians voted into Congress and the Senate, and four years to work toward taking the White House back.
We keep the Democrats feet to the fire, we bring as much information as possible to the forefront, we work at turning things around.
I will leave you with a quick reminder of what it would look like should Obama do something incredibly stupid and get impeached.

The Speaker of the House, Pelosi, is second in the United States presidential line of succession, after the Vice President and before the president pro tempore of the U.S. Senate.
Now, that Pelosi scenario could just be if the president and VP are out of commission for whatever reason, because conflicting reports show that the VP, if moved to the spot of president, could have the power to nominate someone as his VP then have Congress and Senate approve it...
The Presidential Succession Act of 1947 (3 U.S.C. § 19) establishes the line of succession to the office of President of the United States in the event that neither a President or Vice President is able to "discharge the powers and duties of the office.
So, for those that even dream about impeaching Obama at a later date, pray to high heavens he doesn't do anything impeachable. In fact, do everything in your power to keep a close eye on him, work towards making sure he never does do anything worthy of impeachment and fight to make sure that we never, ever, EVER, have a VP Pelosi, on the off chance that she could be appointed or chosen.
That should be the goal here..............
America is great, it will survive four years of Barack Obama, but this great country may never get passed even one year of San Fran Nan as VP.
Keep that in mind.
