WASHINGTON - The Pentagon told Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Rodham Clinton that her questions about how the U.S. plans to eventually withdraw from Iraq boosts enemy propaganda.
In a stinging rebuke to a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, Undersecretary of Defense Eric Edelman responded to questions Clinton raised in May in which she urged the Pentagon to start planning now for the withdrawal of American forces.
A copy of Edelman's response, dated July 16, was obtained Thursday by The Associated Press.
"Premature and public discussion of the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Iraq reinforces enemy propaganda that the United States will abandon its allies in Iraq, much as we are perceived to have done in Vietnam, Lebanon and Somalia," Edelman wrote.
He added that "such talk understandably unnerves the very same Iraqi allies we are asking to assume enormous personal risks."
I have already made it clear here, yesterday, what I believe Robert Gates should have as his response:
Gates would do well to tell her to kiss his ass, if she cannot handle the truth, then she shouldn't be doing everything in her power to HELP THE ENEMY.
(If Gates has to show more diplomacy because of his position, well I don't, sooooo HILLARY, KISS "MY" ASS")
Edelmans bio is quite impressive and his statement reflects what we have said here quite often, it is not discussion that boosts enemy propaganda, it is statements deliberately made by Hillary Clinton, Baghdad Reid and others in the Democratic Cauacus, statements that have no use except to try to insult the President, statements that our troops have stated publicly that they hurt their efforts, encourage the enemy and demoralize our soldiers.
Not only do I applaud Eric Edelman for finally saying what needs to be said, I implore Robert Gates to respond in kind and let dear Hillary know exactly how her words are seen by the enemy and by our troops.
Election Central says this letter that Hillary is sending will go out this morning and I DO hope Robert Gates responds promptly and tells her exactly what Edelman did.
She can't handle the truth, then she should get the hell out of politics because for Hillary Clinton, her political agenda should not be affected by such things as encouraging the enemy or harming our troops.
She once again proves that she doesn't give a damn about the troops... just her next election.

It's about time the pentagon said something. Now they can go after the rest of our "esteemed leaders" in the house and senate and tell them to sit down and STFU! Then they can go after MSM and tell them the same.
Whether they want to admit it or not we are a nation at war and they need to start acting accordingly and keep their mouths shut. This is one time when a transparent government is not needed. Keep it behind closed doors and out of the media. My husbands life may depend on it. Bunch of jerkoffs!!!
