Japan PM Visits, Democrat Shutdown, Feast Of St Joseph, Fostering The Future, US Constitution, Patriot Robert R Livingston, And More

On March 19, 2026, President Trump hosted the Prime Minister of Japan, Sanae Takaichi, at the White House. When Ms Takaichi was running to be Prime Minister of Japan, President Trump made an endorsement for her. She won that election in a landslide.

On March 19, 2026, the White House published the Fact Sheet President Donald J. Trump Strengthens U.S.-Japan Alliance for the Benefit of All Americans discussing the topics the President discussed with the Japanese Prime Minister during their meetings which will enhance economic security and bolster deterrence to promote a free and open Indo-Pacific. The President first secured a US-Japan Strategic Trade and Investment Agreement announced July 23, 2025 (discussed in my July 24, 2025 ANP Article) followed by EO 14345 Implementing the US-Japan Agreement signed September 4, 2025 (discussed in my September 5, 2025 ANP Article). The October 28, 2025 Fact Sheet President Trump Drives Forward Billions in Investments from Japan (discussed in my October 29, 2025 ANP Article) discussing the project Japan was committing to in the US.

This agreement between the US and Japan is expected to strengthen supply chain resilience and energy security; advance the science, tech, and space partnership the US and Japan have already established; strengthen deterrence and defense cooperation; and enhance regional security especially in the Taiwan Straight.

On March 19, 2026. the White House published the article Democrats admit their DHS shutdown is “making people hurt” as they stall negotiations with dangerous demands causing widespread disruption to travelers. While Democrats are blaming Republicans for the partial shutdown (which they have been doing for every shutdown they have forced into being), the Democrats are "negotiating" for open-borders, protecting criminal illegal aliens, and defunding ICE in order to fully re-open government.

Frankly, most of the American people, including those naturalized American Citizens who were born in other countries, want ICE to do their job and deport these criminal illegal aliens. Making travelers suffer because Democrats don't want criminal illegal aliens to be deported is reckless. It's also why the Democrats don't want to see the "prove you are a US Citizen to vote in US Federal Elections" law (any version of it) to pass. I'd say their voting base is mostly illegal aliens these days if the support for President Trump's Operation Epic Fury (discussed below) is any indication.

On March 19, 2026, the White House published the article Americans Agree that Operation Epic Fury Is an Overwhelming Success announcing that Operation Epic Fury is delivering overwhelming and devastating success against Iran, the world's leading sponsor of terrorism. The article goes on to show results of recent polling by Vandenberg Coalition/TargetPoint (84%), NBC News (80%), CNN (77%), The Economist/YouGov (81%), YouGov (85%), and JL Partners (83%) showing a majority of Republican Americans support Epic Fury. In addition, The Washington Post, Rasmussen Reports, and FOX News all report rising approval of Epic Fury.

One might wonder why these news outlets/polling organizations are not releasing statistics on whether or not Democrats or Independents support Epic Fury. I think it's because they can't tell us that even Democrats and Independents support Epic Fury while their "Democrat political leaders" oppose Epic Fury because they have TDS and must oppose everything President Trump does.

On March 19, 2026, the White House published the Presidential Message on the Feast of Saint Joseph sending best wishes to Catholics and other Christians who celebrate the Feast of Saint Joseph. Joseph was the husband of the Virgin Mary, mother of the Messiah and step-father of the Messiah. The White House writes:

In recent years, our Nation has witnessed the rise of an extremist cultural movement that has sought to weaken the values championed by Saint Joseph. But my Administration is offering a much brighter vision for our rising generation. Instead of indoctrinating our young men with radicalism and hate, we must encourage them to embrace faith, get married, start a family, and raise the next generation of proud, freedom-loving, God-fearing American citizens. Guided by his example, we will never stop fighting for Saint Joseph’s legacy in our homes, churches, culture, and public square.
On his feast day, we honor Saint Joseph’s incredible life, we pay tribute to his countless silent sacrifices, and we vow to forge a radiant American future marked by the timeless values of faith in God, love of family, and devotion to human freedom.

On March 19, 2026, the Office of the First Lady published the statement First Lady Melania Trump’s Fostering the Future Together Assembles Leaders from 45 Nations and 28 Tech Entities scheduled to meet for a 2-day global summit at the White House March 24 and 25, 2026. Melania is taking the Office of the First Lady into unprecedented territory, from signing the EO with President Trump (discussed in my November 14, 2025 ANP Article) to expanding her 1st term "BE BEST" initiative to include her 2nd term goal of "fostering the future for American children and families" to presiding over a meeting of the UN Security Council (discussed in my March 10, 2026 ANP Article). Now the First Lady will host 45 Nations and 23 tech entities pursuing support for Fostering the Future for ALL children through education and technology.

On March 4, 1789, marked the 237th anniversary of when the US Constitution and Bill of Rights became the official governing documents of the our new Nation and were discussed in my 41-part series (click on the date to go to that part):

Today's Patriot is Robert Robert Livingston (the Livingston family used a style of patronymic naming where the men carried their father's first name as their middle name; since Robert's father was also Robert, he became Robert Robert) "The Chancellor" was born November 27, 1746 in New York City, New York. He was the eldest of 9 siblings, all of whom survived to adulthood.

Robert attended King's College (Columbia University), graduating in June 1765. Robert then studied law and was admitted to the bar in 1773. Robert had a law office partnership with John Jay before he set up his own office.

On September 9, 1770, Robert married Mary Stevens (1751-1814). They built Belvedere, south of Clermont, New York. Belvedere was burned to the ground by British Forces commanded by General John Burgoyne in 1777. Robert rebuilt the home in 1794 calling it New Clermont (renamed later to Arryl House). The couple had 2 daughters, both of whom survived to adulthood. Both Livingston daughters married distant Livingston cousins.

Robert began his political career as Recorder of New York City in October 1773. From there he went on to become the first Chancellor of New York on July 30, 1777. Robert had the privilege of administering the presidential oath of office to George Washington on April 30, 1789 at Federal Hall in New York City, New York (the then capital of the new Nation).

On June 11, 1776, Robert was appointed to the Committee of Five within the 2nd Continental Congress. This committee was tasked with drafting the Declaration of Independence. Since Robert was recalled to New York, he sent his cousin Philip Livingston to sign the document in his place.

In 1784, Robert was appointed 1st Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Freemasons in New York. He held the title until 1801. The bible used to swear in George Washington is still owned by Saint John's Lodge Number 1 and is still used to swear in Grand Masters as well as Presidents when requested.

Robert was appointed US Minister to France by the recently elected President Thomas Jefferson on October 2, 1801. He signed the Louisiana Purchase agreement in 1803 along with James Monroe, calling it the "noblest work of his life." While in France, he worked with Robert Fulton to develop the first viable steamboat, the North River steamboat, which berthed at Clermont Manor, the Livingston family home.

In 1804, Robert retired from politics to focus on a joint venture with Robert Fulton building steamboats. In 1811, both Fulton and Robert were members of the Erie Canal Commission. In 1812, Robert successfully brought legal action against James Van Ingen, owner of competing steamboats, to keep his monopoly. In the 1819 lawsuit Livingston v Ogden & Gibbons (two competing steamboat owners) Judge James Kent denied the injunction against Ogden since Ogden was operation under Livingston's monopoly license but granted the injunction against Gibbons. Gibbons appealed to SCOTUS where SCOTUS affirmed Judge Kent's decision.

Robert's last years were spent raising sheep while experimenting with new agricultural techniques. His sheep produced the much sought after Merino wool.

Robert died a natural death on February 26, 1813 at age 66 in Clermont, New York. He was interred in the Clermont Livingston Vault at Saint Paul's Church in Tivoli, New York.
