Recently Barack Obama informed Americans of $1 trillion in military cuts over the next decade which will steadily shrink the Army and Marine Corps and reduce forces in Europe and for the first time in decades the U.S. will no longer have the capability of successfully fighting two major regional wars simultaneously.
Defense Secretary Leon Panetta admits that this reduction of troops will mean some trade-offs and that the U.S. will take on "some level of additional but acceptable risk." (Source- NBC News)

.....The planned cuts may mean more layoffs in Ohio. The southwestern and centrals regions of the state are home to some of the nation's largest military supply manufacturers and research centers, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.
In 2011, military spending accounted for $1.7 billion of the $2 billion the federal government spent in the Cincinnati region, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. Former Army Lieutenant Colonel and current Florida Representative Allen West told Fox News that a "one-size-fits-all" approach to military needs in dangerous.
