Leonard Glasgow, 31 years old, attacked his three month old child, Myles, In Syracuse New York which resulted in the child being hospitalized.
Leonard Glasglow first told authorities that he was bathing Myles when the baby slipped from his grasp and hit the bed while Leonard grabbed for him.
The baby's injuries are inconsistent with the father's story and medical and police officials believe the father assaulted the child.
Police arrested Glasglow on Saturday and charged him with second-degree assault, a felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, setting his bail at $50,000 cash or $100,000 bond, according to the Onondaga County Sheriff's Web site.
The baby's mother is a medical student at SUNY Upstate Medical, her name has not been released. She was the one that took baby Myles to the hospital on Thursday.
Myles and his mother were living at 50 Presidential Plaza and Leonard came to came to Syracuse to help care for the child.
