Man Decapitates 15-Month Old Nephew at Jeddah Supermarket

Shoppers were stunned yesterday after witnessing a Syrian man take a knife and decapitate his 15-month old nephew in front of the child's mother, at a supermarket in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

At the Al-Marhaba supermarket on Sari Street around 9.30 a.m, a 25 year old Syrian man, after having an argument with the child's mother and her husband, retaliated to get back at the mother by chopping off her 15 month old son's head in front of her, in the stores fruit and vegetable section.

According to police who spoke on the condition of anonymity said the mother of the victim was left traumatized and is in hospital after having witnessed the brutal murder of her son in front of her.

One witness, Abu Muhammad, told reporters, "It happened so quickly. Before people could intervene, the man had cut more than half way through the child’s neck."

Another eyewitness states that he has seen the killer carrying the child and playing with him previously.

The town is shocked and a Turkish car mechanic that works nearby stated "No one could bear the gruesome sight of the boy’s decapitated body lying on the floor. No one could bear the gruesome sight of the boy’s decapitated body lying on the floor."

Although the store reopened after the authorities had collected their evidence, a few hours later, reports say the employees were still in a state of shock as well as the guard that stands at the entrance of the store.

Unbelievable what human beings are capable of doing to children.
