[Final Update] In a horrible turn of events, Zane Newton was never kidnapped, it was a story his friend made up after some children, including Newton, were playing in the tunnel and the tunnel collapsed causing a cave-in.
Zane died in the cave-in and his friend made up the abduction story to authorities, said Sgt. Jarod Primcerio with Emergency Notification Tactical Alert Center.

An Amber Alert has been issued for a 9 year old boy, Zane Anthony Newton, who was abducted from his front yard today by a white male in a black Honda-type vehicle with a white driver-side door and a California license plate.

17KGET.com is reporting that a body was possibly found and that it might be the boy although no definitive word has come out yet.
Police searching for a missing boy found something in a tunnel in a sump near where the boy was reported kidnapped Wednesday morning.
Police called firefighters at about 4:30 asking for help in a rescue; but, almost immediately, the rescue operation was called off.
Police have moved their command post from where the kidnapping was reported to the sump.
It's just a block from where the kidnapping was reported.

Zane Anthony Newton is a 9 yr old male, 4ft 3 in. tall and weighs 75lbs. and was last seen wearing grey shirt, denim shorts and black shoes and a loop earring.
Zane has brown hair, brown eyes and a birthmark on his chin.
