I take terrorism seriously. I take al-Qaeda seriously. But I do not over react to threats against us as al-Qaeda would like us to do.
They have been making statements, via video, for months now, showing they had "big plans" fro our summer.
ABC reports that al-Qeada has our summer fun activities lined up for us, we just haven't been told eactly what those plans are yet, its a surprise!!!!
Secret Document: U.S. Fears Terror 'Spectacular' Planned
A secret U.S. law enforcement report, prepared for the Department of Homeland Security, warns that al Qaeda is planning a terror "spectacular" this summer, according to a senior official with access to the document.
"This is reminiscent of the warnings and intelligence we were getting in the summer of 2001," the official told ABCNews.com.

I take those threats seriously but will never allow myself to become so fearful that I live by that fear, so todays latest "warning" brought to us by The blotter, is just that, a warning.
A new al Qaeda propaganda ad, headlined "Wait for the Big Surprise" and featuring a digitally altered photograph of President George Bush and Pakistan's President Pervez Musharraf standing in front of a burning White House, was posted on the Internet today.
The brief clip from al Qaeda's "as Sahab" propaganda arm juxtaposes the doctored photo of Bush and Musharraf along with previously seen images of al Qaeda's top leadership -- Osama bin Laden, Ayman al Zawahri and Adam Gadahn -- as well as a photo of an SUV in a motorcade.
There is no additional information provided in the ad, and it closes with the words, "Soon -- God willing," written across the screen and repeated several times.
al-Qaeda is desparate fro attention because they are being shunned by Iraqi's as well as hunted and on the run in Iraq by our Military, coalition forces as well as the Iraqi population itself.
So they want us scared.
I say we need to be vigilant, watchful, alert, but screw them if they think we are going to live by that fear.
Be smart, but this propaganda which The Blotter as well as other liberal media sources keeps helping al-qaeda spread, is just that, propaganda.
For the record, anyone with half a brain knows that al-Qaeda WILL try to attack us again, we have seen multiple failed attempts from them and those that simply believe as they do.
This fevered pitch of theirs, now is because they see that their major media war they are conducting is starting to backfire, now that the administration is making efforts to counter the media as well as the new media and the way it has changed how the MSM is now reporting.
Nothing better to get the MSM to start showing the American public the whole truth, than for the embedded independent journalists that have "scooped" them time and time again.
We don't depend on the MSM as we did anymore and I believe that is one reason that they have started reporting the progress and success being seen in Iraq, as of late, because they know if they do not...someone else will.

The proposal, according to House and Senate Democrats, would permit a secret court to issue broad orders approving eavesdropping of communications involving suspects overseas and other people, who may be in the United States. To issue an order, the court would not need to identify a particular target overseas, but it would have to determine that those being targeted are “likely,” in fact, overseas.
If a foreign target’s communications to a person inside the United States reaches a “significant” number, then an court order based on probable cause would be required. It is unclear how “significant” would be defined.
Rockefeller and the Dems are notorious for spilling national secrets to the media. Who do you think exposed the fact we monitored not only the terrorists but who they contacted here in America after 9-11? We did this because all the intel we had on Atta and his gang once they hit the US was THROWN AWAY because there was no warrant allowing us to know 3,000 people or more were about to be massacred by al-Qaeda.
As for the idiotic proposal now publicized in the news media throw it in the trash can. Even I can now see how to totally subvert this. Let’s pretend I am a terrorist. Now that I know I can have 1 - 2 free contacts where the info will not be used (thrown away as was the case before 9-11) I can establish a revolving team of couriers in the US. Each courrier will receive and pass on 1-2 messages to the central cell planning an attack and then not be used ever again. Students will be perfect for this job since they cycle in and out of the US regularly. Once the information is in the US it can be distributed freely without concern.
We better start taking the efforts to keep America safe, or we will guarantee that the next attempted attack will be successful.
