The 5-year-old son of Grammy winning singer Usher nearly drowned in an Atlanta pool on Monday, after getting his arm stuck in a pool drain, and was rushed to a hospital.
Usher Raymond V fell into the pool and when the housekeeper was unable to free the child, two audio-visual subcontractors working at the house rushed to help, pulled the child out and one gave him CPR.
The boy was breathing and alert before being taken to the hospital.
The incident has reignited the custody battle between the boy's mother, Tameka Foster, and Usher, which resulted in Usher being given primary physical custody of his two sons last year after a long legal battle.
The mother has now filed for an emergency custody hearing.
