Obama's 'Strong' Disapproval Numbers Continue to Rise

By Susan Duclos

In a new Washington Post-ABC News poll, they find the number of Americans that "strongly disapprove" of Barack Obama continues to rise.

Four in 10 Americans "strongly" disapprove of how the president is handling his job, up from 28 percent at the start of the year. Obama's disapproval rating has steadily grown since the beginning of the year as the economy has stalled.

Obama's troubling numbers can be partially attributed to the loss of independents. Forty-three percent of those not affiliated by party strongly disapprove of the job he has been doing. The president has also struggled with the elderly — 47 percent of those over 65 years of age strongly disapprove of his job performance.

More concerning for Obama should be that only 43 percent of Democrats strongly approve of him.

Top that off with Rasmussen finding only 18 percent of Likely Voters think the country is heading in the right direction and we have the makings of a very rough 2012 presidential election for Barack Obama.

That is ok, he has the answer..... a BUS TOUR.

Wonder if he will bring along the kids and list them as "senior staff" to pay for it like Michelle did for their Africa vacation.
