No Obama, 61 Percent Say We are Not Heading In The 'Right Direction'

61 percent of Americans, on average, believe the country is heading in the wrong direction.

The New York Times reports Obama supporters frustrated and at the end of their rope with one American worker during the televised "Investing in America" telling Obama she was "exhausted of defending" him, defending his administration and "defending the mantle of change that I voted for."

You can read the whole thing for yourself, how people are starting to realize that all Obama has fed them are lies, empty promises and what he delivered is more debt, personal and national and his massive spending policies have now put their grandchildren and possibly great grandchildren in debt as well.

But the last line of the NYT article shows how disconnected Barack Obama truly is with the American people.

If the televised session on Monday seemed to put Mr. Obama on the spot, he did not appear ruffled. Rather, he seemed resigned to the frustration of his questioners.

“My goal here is not to convince you that everything is where it needs to be,” the president said, “but what I am saying is that we are moving in the right direction.”

Politico/GWU/Battleground polling shows 63 percent of America believes this country is heading in the wrong direction with only 28 percent agreeing with Obama.

Democracy Corps (D) polling shows 62 percent of America believes this country is heading in the wrong direction with only 31 percent agreeing with Obama.

Rasmussen Reports shows 65 percent of America believes this country is heading in the wrong direction with only 30 percent agreeing with Obama.

National Journal/FD shows 62 percent of America believes this country is heading in the wrong direction with only 27 percent agreeing with Obama.

NBC News/Wall St. Jrnl polling shows 61 percent of America believes this country is heading in the wrong direction with only 30 percent agreeing with Obama.

CBS News/NY Times shows 60 percent of America believes this country is heading in the wrong direction with only 33 percent agreeing with Obama.

Only one recent poll done shows the level of dissatisfaction and belief that the country is going in the wrong direction below 60 percent and that is the Associated Press/GfK poll which has it at 57 percent believing the country is heading the wrong way.

What Barack Obama is disconnected from is reality, the reality of "you cannot spend your way out of debt."

Even the name of the forum "Investing in America" implies spending, investing.... investing what? Money we do not have? Money we have to borrow which puts us further into debt?

"My husband and I have joked for years that we thought we were well beyond the hot dogs and beans era of our lives, but, quite frankly, it's starting to knock on our door and ring true that that might be where we're headed again, and, quite frankly, Mr. President, I need you to answer this honestly. Is this my new reality?

As to Obama's challenge and attempt to distract:

“The challenge for the Tea Party movement is to identify specifically: What would you do?” the president said. “It’s not enough to say get control of spending. I think it’s important for you to say, ‘I’m willing to cut veterans benefits, or I’m willing to cut Medicare or Social Security, or I’m willing to see taxes go up.’ ”

I may not be an active member of the Tea Party, but how about starting with the billions in earmarks the politicians continue to shove into every single bill.

How about the trillions marked for Obamacare?

How about the trillions spent on bailouts?

The stimulus bill cost over $700 billion itself.

The list of spending goes on and on.

That type of intellectual dishonesty gets Barack Obama nowhere as he and the Democratically controlled Senate and Congress continue to spend like drunken sailors while unemployment is at 9.6 percent and much higher in some individual states like Nevada at 14.4 percent.
