The NRA has also publicly stated they looked forward to showing Barack Obama "bitter," referencing Obama's words to an elite crowd in San Francisco when he thought his words weren't being recorded as he said people "cling" to their guns and religion because they are "bitter."

Today the NRA has announced that despite their previous misgivings about John McCain, they agree with him on more issues than they disagree with him, so they are officially endorsing him for the presidency of the United States of America.

WASHINGTON - The National Rifle Association is endorsing Republican presidential nominee John McCain.

NRA executive vice president Wayne LaPierre announced the endorsement Thursday. LaPierre and the chairman of the NRA's political action committee were making stops in Pennsylvania, Missouri, Colorado and Nevada to talk about the move.

NRA's Political Victory Fund produced a few video ads already, but the one below is the hardest hitting.
