Gathering of Eagles update...1MAY07

Voices From the Front II: SGT Brandon Walsh

Posted: 01 May 2007 01:05 PM CDT

Wednesday night on The Front Line is another segment in my ongoing series, Voices From the Front, where I talk to soldiers and Marines live in Iraq and Afghanistan, or those who have recently come home. Last week I spoke with CPL Rob Smith, a fire team leader with RCT-2, in Al-Asad, Iraq. Wednesday night is SGT Brandon Walsh, another Marine who has seen combat in some of the hottest combat zones in Iraq. Much of Pat Dollard’s incredible video was shot while embedded with Brandon Walsh and his unit.

Tune in Wednesday night at 10 PM Eastern to The Front Line. Phones will be open, so call 646-915-9926 to talk to Sgt Walsh.

Good afternoon, Eagles!

We want to extend our heartfelt appreciation for your generosity thus far. You’ve helped support Eagle rallies all over the country, and allow us to grow our presence not only on the internet, but in communities across America. People are standing up for the troops and their mission, and the media is being forced to mention us–by name, instead of just as “a few counter-protestors.” In fact, GOE coverage has pushed The Front Line to the Top 10 on BlogTalkRadio, just one example of many where GOE has been supported by Americans. Last week more troops were made aware of our efforts, and it continues to encourage them in their difficult and dangerous job. The mountains of supportive emails from Eagles and troops alike tell me that what we are doing is nothing short of amazing.

If you haven’t donated yet, please consider doing so. Many Eagles have given gifts of $10 and $20, and every little bit helps. There is no donation too small, so if you want to help GOE take back this country, click the button on the left side and give. If you’d rather give of your time and energy, we are always accepting volunteers for local events and rallies. Feel free to contact “info at gatheringofeagles dot org” and you’ll be routed to your state and local coordinators.

Thank you again for your loyalty, your faithfulness, and your belief in this nation. It’s not just that we CAN make a difference…

We ARE.

Thousands of bikers head for Public Square to support U.S. service membersApril 30th, 2007

(Cleveland) - The roar could be heard all over Cleveland’s downtown. Thousands of motorcyclists descended on Public Square for the 5th annual Rally For The Troops Sunday. The event featured prayer, song, and the comments of those who’ve lost loved ones overseas.

Jim Boskovitch was among those who spoke. His son Jeff was one of the Brook Park Marines killed two years ago in Iraq. Boskovitch says his family has received great support from the community, and he has never felt alone as he’s struggled to cope with the loss of his son.
