APOLOGIZE TO THE PRESIDENT

[UPATES BELOW]
Kerry takes his apology to the troops back-- he UN-apologizes.

This has been one HELL of a week. With Kerry's supposed "botched" joke that we find out wasn't a joke because he had said the same type of thing in 1972, then the al-Qaeda operative stating publicly that they wish to influence our elections for the Democrats, that according to Wapo, then we have Saddams sentencing tomorrow, the unemployment rate hitting an all time low, and then NYT doing a story meant to hurt Bush but instead validating that as late as 2002, Saddam was ONE YEAR away from having a nuke. Lets not forget the ACORN indictments.

Among the dozens of documents in English were Iraqi reports written in the 1990s and in 2002 for United Nations inspectors in charge of making sure Iraq had abandoned its unconventional arms programs after the Persian Gulf war. Experts say that at the time, Mr. Hussein’s scientists were on the verge of building an atom bomb, as little as a year away.

This is what I call a hell of a week in the news.

I think all those Democrats that denied that Iraq was an imminent threat and those that accused the President and Dick Cheney of deliberately misleading them and the American public, owe the President of the United States of America AN APOLOGY.

How high is that high moral ground they are so proud of standing on, do they have the class and the integrity to give the President an apology? I doubt it.

Hell of a week in the news.

Then we have more of those documents that have been translated showing that there WERE operational ties between Saddam Hussein and al-Qaeda, Captain's Quarters and Fix 4 have them up.

Please notice the date of this memo.

In the Name of God the Most Merciful the Most Compassionate
Office of the Presidency
Intelligence Service
M5/3/9/2

The Honorable Mr. General Director Manager M5

Subject: Information

Our Afghani source numbered 11002 had provided us with the information on the denotation paper number -1- )

The Afghani Consul Ahmad Dahstani (the information on the denotation paper number (2)) had mentioned in front of him with the followings:

1. Osama Bin Laden and the Taliban Group in Afghanistan were in touch with the Iraqis and that group of the Talibans and Osama Bin Laden had visited Iraq.
2. The United States of America has evidence that the Iraqi government and Osama Bin Laden’s group expressed cooperation among themselves in bombing targets in American.
3. In case Osama Bin Laden and the Taliban were proven to have been involved in carrying out these terrorist operations, it could be possible that the United Stated will attack both Iraq and Afghanistan.
4. The Afghani consul heard about the connection between the Iraqis and the Osama Bin Laden group during his stay in Iran.
5. Upon what has been presented we suggest writing to the Intention Committee with the above information.

Please revise…Your recommendation…With appreciation,

Director, M5/3
15/9/2001 Khalid

Immediately to be presented to the Intention Committee President

For those that are slow on the uptake the memo is dated September 15, 2001. Four DAYS after 9/11.

Anyone going to APOLOGIZE TO THE PRESIDENT about all these claims that Saddam and Iraq were NOT part of the war on terror???????????? I doubt it again. They do not have the class to do so. They will hem and haw and deny, which they are very good at, but they will not admit to being wrong.... a lesson learned from Kerry perhaps? How did that work for Kerry huh? Hopefully it will work just as well for them.

[UPDATE] The height of stupidity, not only does Kerry un-apologize, he reaffirms his comments, by posting this on his site. (Hat Tip to Stop the ACLU)

Although there are plenty of well-educated people in our armed forces -- Kerry was one of them -- military service has long been an opportunity employer for those with less education and fewer skills than they need to work in the private sector. Indeed, the military sells itself as a place to garner skills and to help pay for higher education.

And wars, including this one, are often fought by those less privileged -- albeit no less smart -- than the sons and daughters of those who lead us into them.

To top it off he ALSO endorses his own party as being "cut and run".

Apologies? Sure, from the cut-and-run Democratic candidates who've cancelled appearances with Kerry.
