Ridiculous Item Of The Day

Conservative filmmakers James O’Keefe, Hannah Giles and conservative Web site Breitbart.com caught ACORN employees covering up for sex slave rings, on tape and ACORN is now trying to sue them for secretly taping their crimes.

ACORN, taking a break from its apology tour, said today that it's filing suit against James O'Keefe, Hannah Giles and Andrew Breitbart's Breitbart.com.

Never mind the crimes, never mind the scandal, never mind that the Senate has voted to cut off all funds to ACORN because of what was seen on those tapes... nope, they do not defend, nor deny what is clear for everyone to see, via video.... they just sue those that exposed them.

That is your ridiculous item of the day.

Senate Votes to Cut Off Funding For ACORN

After even more scandal, this time dealing with an undercover child prostitution sting, ACORN is facing the loss of federal funding with the Senate voting to bar any funds from being received by ACORN.

With a long history of lawbreaking that is finally getting media attention, the poverty pimps of ACORN are currently in retreat across the nation, and an upcoming voter registration fraud trial may reveal embarrassing information that disrupts the operations of the embattled radical activist group. This is in addition to the undercover child prostitution sting videos revealed in recent days on this website.

Vote passed 83 to 7 with 9 not voting, Senate roll call here.

At first the amendment proposed by Senator Mike Johanns (R-NE) met with some resistance from Democratic politicians, many of whom later changed their vote, the Senate passed Number: S.Amdt. 2355 to H.R. 3288 (Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2010) which the listed purpose was:

Prohibiting use of funds to fund the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN).

Hot Air provides the names of some of the Democrats that voted against the amendment, to later change their vote:

At the beginning of the vote, it appeared that Democrats might resist. Initially, a half-dozen Democrats cast votes in opposition to the amendment. A few more cast votes against it as the rest of the Senate voted, but the tide appeared to shift. More and more Democrats signed onto the amendment, and votes started changing. One male voice could be heard in the chamber saying, “I want to change my vote!” Among those who changed their votes: Tom Udall (D-NM), Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ), and Herb Kohl (D-WI).

I do not have the official roll call record of the vote yet, but three of the seven Democrats voting against the bill were Dick Durbin (D-IL), Roland Burris (D-IL), and Bernie Sanders (I-VT). I’ll get the rest in a few minutes, but it’s worth repeating what Jim Geraghty said on the Twitter stream: “Who were the seven Child-Whoring Pimp Assistance Program defenders?”

Now let us see if the House, led by Nancy Pelosi will follow suit and take federal funding away from the crooks at ACORN.

Charges Filed Against ACORN For Registration Fraud

The undersigned, CATHERINE CORTEZ MASTO, Attorney General of the State of Nevada, by and through Chief Deputy Attorney General, Conrad Hafen, complains and charges the above named defendants, ASSOCIATION OF COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION FOR REFORM NOW INC.(ACORN), CHRISTOPHER HOWELL EDWARDS AND AMY ADELE BUSEFINK, with having committed the crimes of COMPENSATION FOR REGISTRATION OF VOTERS (26 Counts), a Category E Felony, in violation of NRS 293.805, and PRINCIPAL TO THE CRIME OF COMPENSATION FOR REGISTRATION OF VOTERS (13 Counts), a category E Felony, in violation of NRS 195.020 and NRS 293.805 in Clark County, State of Nevada as follows;

That the Defendant, ASSOCIATION OF COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION FOR REFORM NOW INC. (ACORN), did unlawfully provide compensation for registering voters that is based upon the total number of voters a person registers to wit: That from August to September, 2008, the defendant employed Eartha Jackson to register voters in Clark County, Nevada and conditioned her pay upon submitting twenty (20) registration cards per shift. In addition, Defendant, through ACORN Las Vegas Field Director Christopher Howell Edwards, paid Eartha Jackson a bonus of five dollars ($5.00) for submitting twenty-one (21) or more voter registration cards per shift.

That is the start of the 18 page, 39 count criminal complaint against ACORN and two of it's employees. (Full PDF file linked at the bottom of this post.)

The Association of Community Organization for Reform Now (ACORN) has been in the news consistently for illegal activities.

ACORN was supposed to be a way to help low-income families find a voice, register to vote and become involved and instead, news story after news story showed them registering dead people, children, sending registrations for pets..etc..

People claimed the dead might have been registered, but that didn't mean they actually voted...yet in one case news came out that over 300 of them did.

On and on it went during the each election cycle and now, via the Las Vegas Sun, we see that 26 counts of Compensation for Registration of Voters, and 13 counts of Principle to the Crime of Compensation for Registration of Voters, both of which are felonies in Nevada, have been filed against ACORN and two of it's employees.

The investigation into the scheme stemmed from a complaint filed with Miller's office by Clark County Registrar of Voters Larry Lomax. Lomax's office received a significant number of voter registration application forms that appeared to be fraudulent, although none of the irregular forms ended up in the November election.

"Nevada will not tolerate violations of the law by individuals nor will it allow corporations to hide behind or place blame on their employees when training manuals clearly detail, condone and, indeed, require illegal acts in performing the job for the corporation," Masto said during a media conference today.

"This investigation is the direct result of our aggressive response to those safeguards," Miller said, referring to a state task force formed in July.

State investigators, armed with a search warrant, sought evidence of voter registration fraud at ACORN's Las Vegas office on Oct. 7.

The investigation began in July, as soon as the task force formed.

Review Journal has some of the startling figures:

Larry Lomax, the Clark County registrar of voters, said his office reviewed the 91,002 voter registration forms turned in by ACORN, verifying that information on the form matched information attached to the voter’s driver’s license number or Social Security number.

If it didn’t, those registrations were tagged as requiring identification at the polling place.

There were 28,097 forms that were duplicates or changes of name, party or address, leaving 62,905 new voters.

Of those, 23,186 actually voted in the 2008 general election, according to a report prepared by Lomax’s office.

That means almost 40,000 of the new voters registered by ACORN didn’t vote, and of those, almost 19,000 had information on file that didn’t match what was turned in on the forms.

“That’s 48 percent of those forms that I believe are clearly fraudulent,” Lomax said.

Masto identified Edwards as the ACORN Las Vegas office field director in 2008, and said timesheets indicate that ACORN corporate officers were aware of the "blackjack" bonus program and failed to stop it. The attorney general said Busefink was ACORN's deputy regional director.

The complaint filed in Las Vegas Justice Court accuses ACORN and Edwards each of 13 counts of compensation for registration of voters, and Busefink of 13 counts of principle to the crime of compensation for registration of voters. Each charge carries the possibility of probation or less than 1 year in jail, Masto said.

A court hearing was scheduled June 3 in Las Vegas, prosecutor Conrad Hafen said.

Nevada is not the only state with investigations into ACORN either. Back in October, the Buckeye Institute, a Columbus-based think tank, filed a Rico action against ACORN and we have previously listed trouble throughout the years with this exact type of behavior throughout the country, showing it is not just individual employees, but a systematic problem with ACORN themselves.

# In Ohio in 2004, four ACORN employees were indicted by a federal grand jury for submitting false voter registration forms.

# In January 2005 two Colorado ACORN workers were sentenced to community service for submitting false voter registrations. ACORN's regional director said, "we find it abhorrent and do everything we can to prevent it from happening."

# On November 1, 2006, four part-time ACORN employees were indicted in Kansas City, Missouri for voter registration fraud. Prosecutors said the indictments are part of a national investigation.] ACORN said in a press release that it is in part responsible in these individuals being caught, has fired them, and has cooperated and publicly supported efforts to look into the validity of the allegations.

# ACORN was investigated in 2006 for submitting false voter registrations in St. Louis, Missouri. 1,492 fraudulent voter registrations were identified.

# In 2007, five Washington state ACORN workers were sentenced to jail time. ACORN agreed to pay King County $25 000 for its investigative costs and acknowledged that the national organization could be subject to criminal prosecution if fraud occurs again.

According to King County Prosecuting Attorney Dan Satterberg, the misconduct was done "as an easy way to get paid [by ACORN], not as an attempt to influence the outcome of elections."

# In 2008, the Michigan Secretary of State office told the Detroit Free Press that ACORN had been submitting a sizeable number of duplicate and fraudulent applications to vote.

The Pittsburgh Tribune recently reported the Barack Obama campaign recently amended their Federal Election Commission report to reflect $800,000 to an offshoot of the liberal ACORN group, called Citizens Services Inc., which is a subsidiary of the ACORN group.

U.S. Sen. Barack Obama's presidential campaign paid more than $800,000 to an offshoot of the liberal Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now for services the Democrat's campaign says it mistakenly misrepresented in federal reports.

An Obama spokesman said Federal Election Commission reports would be amended to show Citizens Services Inc. -- a subsidiary of ACORN -- worked in "get-out-the-vote" projects, instead of activities such as polling, advance work and staging major events as stated in FEC finance reports filed during the primary.

The GIVE Act and The Indoctrination of American School Children

Yesterday was the first time I heard about the GIVE Act. Perhaps I have been spending too much time on Facebook. At first glance the bill seems like a feel good funding of community organizations and education for volunteerism. However, there is more than meets the eye with this current legislation. The Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education Act (H.R. 2867) has passed the House and the Senate, and America came dangerously close to forced advocacy.

Previous provisions in the bill would have forced Americans to engage in some kind of community service. Luckily the hullabaloo raised over this provision lead it to its eventual death on the cutting room floor. This time we can breathe a sigh of relief, but do not count the initiative out. The crafters of the bill who put that in will most likely want to try to sneak it in somewhere else. Is that not the usual with the American CONgress?

As it stands the GIVE Act gives $6billion to community organizations and charities, and yes that includes the ever aggressive and corrupt ACORN. The Act also appropriates funding for educational programs, which is of great concern to many Americans who have looked into Barack Obama's community organizer days.

Not to beat a dead horse, but there is a connection between William Ayers and Barack Obama. Cry foul as one might, it is there and it is not based on bombing the Pentagon. It was based on education reform through CAC and CPAA where Obama and Ayers served on the same board promoting the same agenda. On the surface the agenda was more funding for public school systems, but while the one hand was promoting funding the other was slipping the indoctrination card from its sleeve.

The indoctrination of K-12 children in American schools across the nation is not far away, indeed it has already begun with the election of William Ayers as president of the American Educational Research Association (AERA). His influence is now over hundreds of thousands of children in classrooms. His agenda is social advocacy, which would be fine if Americans did not know that his particular brand of social advocacy involves bombing the Pentagon.

Obama and Ayers have a similar foundation to their community organization skills, the teachings of Saul Alinsky. He is the author of the book Rules for Radicals. These rules are meant to teach community organizations how to achieve their goals, the basic rule is the end justifies the means. They are as follows.

Here are Alinsky's rules to test whether the means are ethical.

1.One's concern with the ethics of means and ends varies inversely with one's personal interest in the issue.

2.The judgment of the ethics of means is dependent upon the political position of those sitting in judgment.

3.In war the end justifies almost any means.

4.Judgment must be made in the context of the times in which the action occurred and not from any other chronological vantage point.

5.Concern with ethics increases with the number of means available and vice versa.

6.The less important the end to be desired, the more one can afford to engage in ethical evaluations of means.

7.Generally, success or failure is a mighty determinant of ethics.

8.The morality of means depends upon whether the means is being employed at a time of imminent defeat or imminent victory.

9.Any effective means is automatically judged by the opposition to be unethical.

10.You do what you can with what you have and clothe it in moral garments.

11.Goals must be phrased in general terms like "Liberty, Equality, Fraternity," "Of the Common Welfare," "Pursuit of Happiness," or "Bread and Peace."

Here are his rules of power tactics.

1.Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have.

2.Never go outside the experience of your people.

3.Whenever possible, go outside of the experience of the enemy.

4.Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules.

5. Ridicule is man's most potent weapon.

6.A good tactic is one that your people enjoy.

7.A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.

8.Keep the pressure on with different tactics and actions, and utilize all events of the period for your purpose.

9.The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.

10.The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition.

11.If you push a negative hard and deep enough, it will break through into its counterside.

12.The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.

13.Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.

These are the foundations of modern community organizations, of which children ages K-12 are being encouraged to join and through which will be indoctrinated. While Saul Alinsky felt Democracy was the easiest way to achieve his goals, the groups which advocate under his rules are for big government closer to that of socialism. ACORN is one of those groups, and it will be receiving funding I can bet my eye teeth on that. The question is, do you want ACORN teaching your children how to be an upstanding citizen in the community?

Obama Team Directs Dirty Tricks: Just Make it Up!

Amanda Carpenter, writing for Townhall.com on Oct. 27th exposes the release of a Democrat "playbook" of dirty tricks:

Documents obtained by Townhall show the Democratic Party encouraged party activists to accuse the GOP of intimidating minorities on Election Day even if no evidence of intimidation existed in the 2004 presidential election. The tactic is being used again in 2008, this time to downplay fraud charges against a predominantly minority non-profit supporting Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.

The Obama campaign has been busily probing the festering issue of voter suppression. Obama Camp Charges... a Partisan Plot," the Wall Street Journal reports on October 17th:

The Obama campaign charged Friday that John McCain, in concert with the Bush administration, has embarked on a studied effort to disrupt Election Day in many states and suppress the vote.

Carpenter describes nine pages of a former Kerry-Edwards handbook titled Minority Voter Intimidation. After instructions on how to recognize "intimidation," the manual moves on to what to do if you don't find any intimidation:

If no signs of intimidation techniques have emerged yet, launch a ‘pre-emptive strike." The manual said this should be done by placing stories in mainstream and specialty press “in which minority leadership expresses concern about the threat of intimidation tactics” and “prime minority leadership to discuss the issue in the media; provide talking points.”

Some of the suggested talking points included lines like “Nothing is more despicable than trying to deprive any American of the previous right to vote, the foundation of our democracy for which so many have sacrificed.”

Well, you're probably saying, this was back in the Kerry-Bush election...nothing to do with today - well, you would be wrong, according to Ms. Carpenter:

The Democrats’ preemptive strike has been delivered from Barack Obama’s legal team this time around.

Nevermind all that. The Obama legal team has once again leaned on the Department of Justice to get the McCain campaign straightened out. Obama attorney Robert Bauer accuses "agents of the McCain campaign and the Republican National Committee of:

...striking locally at election officials and boards around the country, sowing confusion and seeking through baseless legal maneuvers...

and specifically, Obama et al takes offense at this:

McCain’s remarks that ACORN’s voter registration fraud “threatens the fabric of our Democracy” and Palin’s assessment that there is a “choice between a candidate who won’t disavow a group committing voter fraud and a leader who won’t tolerate voter fraud.”

Carpenter reports that former U.S. Senators Danforth and Rudman are heading-up a committee on behalf of the McCain campaign to "take action against voter fraud. The GOP, reportedly, has asked Obama 08 to participate, no surprise: "the Democrats had declined."

Obama Wants McCAIN Investigated Over ACORN

"There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between truth and fiction, between the MSM and fantasy, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of a fair election. This is the dimension of ACORN. YOU HAVE NOW CROSSED OVER TO..... THE OBAMA Zone."

We MUST BE entering a different dimension. Senator Barack Obama, whose relationship with ACORN has been proven many times over despite all of his denials, wants the Justice department to look in to the ACORN affair. Not to get rid of the fraudulent registrations. No he wants the Justice Department to investigate President Bush and Senator McCain for UNSUPPORTED ALLEGATIONS OF VOTER FRAUD. UNSUPPORTED?!?!? RUSH: Well, now, as I listen to your campaign appearances and Senator McCain's, it seems that you are the more forceful in speaking out against Obama and his campaign ideas. Are they giving you pretty much free rein to attack this campaign as you wish?

GOVERNOR PALIN: Well, you know, there just aren't enough hours in the day I think to get out there and (cell garbled). Rush, I've got nothing to lose in this, and I think America has everything to gain by understanding the differences, the contrasts here between Obama and McCain. So, you know, I'm going out there and I'm just simply speaking. So be it that I'm a simple talker, but I'm just going out there and letting people know the differences and how absolutely paramount it is that voters are paying attention and that voters are understanding candidates' records, their associations, their plans for the future; instead of being kind of wrapped up into all this rhetoric of Obama's and buying into it and not holding him accountable for the things that he's done, the things that he's said, his associates, and where he wants to take America.

RUSH: That's exactly it. The media is not holding him accountable; the media is covering up for him. That's why there is so much enthusiasm for you, because you are the one in this campaign who is holding him to account and trying to explain who he is and who his alliances are with and have been. There are two stories today -- one in the Los Angeles Times, one in the New York Times -- both saying how wonderful you are as a speaker. The New York Times posited that you are the most forceful and dynamic speaker of all four candidates on the presidential circuit. Then they said that your forcefulness and your opinionatedness and your charisma and your overwhelming ability to say what you mean, is driving away moderates. Now, this is an attempt to get you to shut up.

GOVERNOR PALIN: (laughing)

RUSH: This is an attempt by the media to make you stop being who you are. What it means is, they're really worried about the effectiveness that you have.

GOVERNOR PALIN: Well, yeah, I guess that message is they do want me to sit down and shut up. But that's not going to happen. I care too much about this great country. Now, yes, speaking of some of those associations -- and you're right; mainstream media is not holding Barack Obama accountable -- let's talk quickly about ACORN and the unconscionable situation that we're facing right now with voter fraud. And given the ties between Obama and ACORN and the money that his campaign has sent them and the job that he had with them in the past, Obama has a responsibility to rein in ACORN and prove that he's willing to fight voter fraud. We called him on it.

RUSH: He's not going to do that. He's been paying for them.

GOVERNOR PALIN: (laughing) Yeah. Right.

Obama supporters and the media do not want to deal with Obama's associations, they have been ignoring it for months on end when they should have been doing their jobs and researching it... now the media is peeved, to say the least, because in order to report on McCain and Palin now they have to report their words, which has forced them to finally mention Obama's terrorist ties with Ayers, his close, longtime friendship and association with Jeremiah Wright, the money he has spent on ACORN, who is now under investigation in 14 states, his business dealings with Rezko and much much more.

The media didn't want to have to deal with it and thankfully Palin has brought the issues right up front and put it out there.

Now people are asking why they weren't informed of all of this prior to Palin mentioning it, and they are realizing it is because the media deliberately tried to hide it all from them

Columbus Think Tank Files Rico Action Against ACORN

There we have it, only minutes after I publish an article on Acorn entitled “Acorn Continues to Make Headlines,” news breaks that a Columbus think tank filed a Rico state action against the organization which has been accused of thousands of cases of fraud this year.

The Buckeye Institute filed the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now on behalf of two Warren County voters.

In the case, the Buckeye Institute seeks the “dissolution” of Acorn “as a legal entity,” the think tank said on its website Tuesday.

Plaintiffs Jennifer Miller of Mason, Ohio and Kimberly Grant of Loveland, allege that Acorn’s habit of registering thousands of non-existing individual as voters “deprive them of the right to participate in an honest and effective elections process. They allege fraudulent voter registrations submitted by ACORN dilute the votes of legally registered voters.”

“The right to cast a vote that is not diluted by fraudulent votes is a fundamental individual right,” Buckeye Institute President David Hansen said.

“ACORN appears to be recklessly disregarding Ohio laws and adding thousands of fraudulent voters to the state’s roles in the process,” Maurice Thompson, Director of the Buckeye Institute’s 1851 Center for Constitutional Law said. “Such voter fraud erodes the value of legally cast votes,” he added.

In the complaint, the Buckeye Institute cites an accumulation of evidence showing numerous instances of admitted fraud by ACORN employees, as well as individuals solicited by ACORN.

Rico Action Filed Against Ohio ACORN, Obama Mentioned

Now we are talking.

The Buckeye Institute has filed a Rico action against ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) and in the 14 page PDF report, Barack Obama is mentioned, while the action has not been filed against him, the connections they make are clear and concise.

The action filed in Warren County Court of Common Pleas alleges ACORN has engaged in a pattern of corrupt activity that amounts to organized crime. It seeks ACORN's dissolution as a legal entity, the revocation of any licenses in Ohio, and an injunction against fraudulent voter registration and other illegal activities.

Plaintiffs Jennifer Miller of Mason, Ohio and Kimberly Grant of Loveland, allege that ACORN's actions deprive them of the right to participate in an honest and effective elections process. They allege fraudulent voter registrations submitted by ACORN dilute the votes of legally registered voters.

"In light of its hiring, training and compensation practices, ACORN should have known its conduct would cause fraud," Thompson said. "It also should know that its conduct will cause fraud in the future."

In addition, the complaint cites conduct by ACORN in Colorado, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin.

In Texas, where ACORN’s affiliate, Citizens Services Inc., has provided contract work on behalf of Senator Barack Obama’s presidential campaign, the Houston Chronicle reported on August 17, 2008 that “About 40 percent of the 27,000 registration cards gathered by ACORN from January through July have been rejected or placed in limbo pending the gathering of more information, according to the county” while “about 6,600 were filled out by people already registered, and many others contained insufficient information.”

ACORN And Obama: Fraud You Can Believe In!!

The ACORN voter fraud scandal has gotten so big and is being investigated in so many different states, not many know exactly what to do about it.

Start with the ACORN-Barack Obama connection. First and foremost, ACORN is a liberal group and the problems stem from their "voter drives" where they go out and get people to register... the problem is, they are registering the same people, in one case, 73 times, dead people, pets and under-aged children (even a 7 year-old), they offer cash and cigarettes as payment to get people to keep registering multiple times and they have had members convicted in previous years for the same type of behavior.

That is the tip of the iceberg.

Wall Street Journal cuts to the chase:

Which brings us to Mr. Obama, who got his start as a Chicago "community organizer" at Acorn's side. In 1992 he led voter registration efforts as the director of Project Vote, which included Acorn. This past November, he lauded Acorn's leaders for being "smack dab in the middle" of that effort. Mr. Obama also served as a lawyer for Acorn in 1995, in a case against Illinois to increase access to the polls.

During his tenure on the board of Chicago's Woods Fund, that body funneled more than $200,000 to Acorn. More recently, the Obama campaign paid $832,000 to an Acorn affiliate. The campaign initially told the Federal Election Commission this money was for "staging, sound, lighting." It later admitted the cash was to get out the vote.

The Obama campaign is now distancing itself from Acorn, claiming Mr. Obama never organized with it and has nothing to do with illegal voter registration. Yet it's disingenuous to channel cash into an operation with a history of fraud and then claim you're shocked to discover reports of fraud. As with Rev. Jeremiah Wright and William Ayers, Mr. Obama was happy to associate with Acorn when it suited his purposes. But now that he's on the brink of the Presidency, he wants to disavow his ties.

In Indiana, ACORN aka Association of Community Organizations for Reform, election officials were going through 5,000 ACORN submissions and gave up after 2,100 of them were found to be fraudulent, via Instapundit, we have video of the news report.

In Ohio, 4,000 of ACORN submissions have been found to be questionable.

ACORN, whose political arm has endorsed Democratic nominee Barack Obama, has signed up more than 1.3 million voters for this cycle.

Of course, Obama denies being a trainer for ACORN and its staff of community rabble-rousers now engaged in massive countrywide vote fraud to elect the man who helped lead their effort to force banks to issue loans to people who could not afford them.

Obama's Web site proclaims, "Barack was never an ACORN trainer and never worked for ACORN in any other capacity." Then how is it that Chicago ACORN leader Toni Foulkes sang Obama's praises for his work for ACORN in his article, "Case Study: Chicago — The Barack Obama Campaign," which appeared in Social Policy magazine in 2004?

Foulkes said ACORN first recognized Obama's talents as a community organizer when he was organizing on Chicago's far south side with the Developing Communities Project.

Foulkes wrote: "When he returned from law school, we asked him to help us with a lawsuit to challenge the state of Illinois' refusal to abide by the National Voting Rights Act . . . . Obama took the case, known as ACORN vs. Edgar . . . and we won."

Then Illinois Gov. Jim Edgar balked at implementing the new federal "Motor Voter" law out of concern that allowing people to register via postcard and blocking the state from pruning voter rolls might invite vote fraud. We wonder where he got that idea.

Foulkes says that "Obama then went on to run a voter registration project with Project VOTE in 1992 that made it possible for Carol Mosely Braun to win the Senate that year. Project Vote delivered 50,000 newly registered voters in that campaign (ACORN delivered about 5,000 of them)."

ACORN was so impressed with Obama's work with and for ACORN that, according to Foulkes, "Since then, we have invited Obama to our leadership training sessions to run the session on power every year, and, as a result, many of our newly developing leaders got to know him before he ever ran for office."

Last November, Obama told the group, "I've been fighting alongside ACORN on issues you care about my entire career. Even before I was an elected official, when I ran (the) Project Vote voter registration drive in Illinois, ACORN was smack dab in the middle of it, and we appreciate your work."

In more or less breaking news, Winged Hussar 1683 posting at Grizzly Groundswell brings us news of defections from the Obama Campaign over his lack of renouncing the ACORN voter fraud scandals breaking out all over the Nation. The Google cached comments are all listed in this post and the Obama web site is being monitored for the comment deletions that are soon to come. I am sure The One cannot afford for folks to see that his implosion will continue over the ACORN debacle.

I wonder where the pollsters are. LOL! Be sure to visit there to read the comments. I would place them here but I was having a difficult time trying to decide which ones.

There can be or, there should be no doubt that Barack's fingerprints are indeed all over ACORN. He has denied it but we all know that he, at one time, was a trainer for the ACORN activists.

Obama lied about ACORN. He lied about Ayers. He lied about Rev. Wright. How can you believe what he says about taxes, education or health care?

The only folks that can actually trust Obama are the easily duped and the emotional childlike people that cannot discern that which is evil in this world. And, Barack is an evil man. Like most other Democrat Party political aspirants, it doesn't matter what they have to do or say to get into political positions of power. Power is all they are after. Obama has lied his way to where he is today, period. End of discussion.

Suitably Flip linked to a story I saw earlier at Ace's place. First, SF:

I have known for quite some time that the DNC is crooked. We all know that the DNC runs the Party of Corruption and as the Vatican calls them - the Party of Death. That said, I ran across an interesting rumor at the Confederate Yankee that has been neither denied or confirmed by those that are theoretically involved. Bob wrote to Randall Samborn, Assistant US Attorney and Public Information Officer for the U.S. Attorney's Office, Northern District of Illinois and received the following reply:

"We do not confirm or deny the existence of any investigation - therfore, we decline comment and I am unable to answer any of your questions."

That's poli-speak for, "How in the hell did you find out about this!?" Anyway, here is the rumor.

Must have something to do with the Chicago political climate he latched onto. FYI, Barack was an attorney for ACORN and was instrumental in getting folks home loans that had no capacity to pay...sound familiar? I wonder if he will deny that ACORN helped him win his 2006 election. Seeing that he is a liar, I wouldn't put it passed him.

Over 2,000 Fake Registrations Forms From ACORN Found In Indiana

Multiple investigations in a dozen or so states and the rippled effect is becoming staggering in scope with ACORN at the heart of all the investigations into fraudulent voter registrations.

Every day, news from different states is coming out as well as even more ties to Barack Obama added into the ones already established.

Indiana:

Today, Indiana is in the news, where over 2,000 fake registrations forms, filed by ACORN aka Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, have been found in Indiana.

More than 2,000 voter registration forms filed in northern Indiana's Lake County by a liberal activist group this week have turned out to be bogus, election officials said Thursday.

The group -- the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or ACORN -- already faces allegations of filing fraudulent voter registrations in Nevada and faces investigations in other states.

And in Lake County, home to the long-depressed steel town of Gary, the bipartisan Elections Board has stopped processing a stack of about 5,000 applications delivered just before the October 6 registration deadline after the first 2,100 turned out to be phony.

"All the signatures looked exactly the same," Ruthann Hoagland, a Republican on the board. "Everything on the card filled out looks exactly the same."

The forms included registrations submitted in the names of the dead -- and in one case, the name of a fast-food restaurant, Jimmy Johns. Sally LaSota, a Democrat on the board, called the forms fraudulent and said whoever filed them broke the law.

Ohio:

ACORN pays people with money and even cigarettes to submit duplicate registrations, with one individual being paid by the group to register up to 72 times.

A man at the center of a voter-registration scandal told The Post yesterday he was given cash and cigarettes by aggressive ACORN activists in exchange for registering an astonishing 72 times, in apparent violation of Ohio laws.

"Sometimes, they come up and bribe me with a cigarette, or they'll give me a dollar to sign up," said Freddie Johnson, 19, who filled out 72 separate voter-registration cards over an 18-month period at the behest of the left-leaning Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now.

"The ACORN people are everywhere, looking to sign people up. I tell them I am already registered. The girl said, 'You are?' I say, 'Yup,' and then they say, 'Can you just sign up again?' " he said.

Attempts to hide evidence of Obama's involvement with ACORN have included wiping the web clean of potentially damaging articles that had appeared, and were previously publicly accessible. Unfortunately, those behind the attempted cover-up failed to realize that in today's day and age, nothing disappears forever. There also exists another layer of the web, the hidden web, which is full of information included in proprietary scholarly databases where these very same "missing" articles can be easily uncovered.

Obama's campaign website states:

Fact: Barack was never an ACORN trainer and never worked for ACORN in any other capacity.

Is that really a FACT, or just another lie? Let's take a look at a quote from a 2004 article - Case Study: Chicago- The Barack Obama Campaign - written by Toni Foulkes, a Chicago ACORN Leader, which was published in the journal Social Policy. Did we mention that Social Policy recently pulled this particular article from their website, while leaving links to all other articles up?

[Update] I promised more and sure enough, we now have TEXAS:

4,000 people whose names are listed both on Harris County’s voter rolls and also in a federal database of death records, a Texas Watchdog analysis has found.

This has gone beyond ridiculous and Obama, ACORN and the Democrats need to be investigated FAST.

ACORN Obama, ACORN Obama, ACORN Obama

Barack Obama's association with terrorist William Ayers is not the only issue that has come to light to the majority of American voters recently.

ACORN otherwise known as Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now is under investigation all across the country. This is a liberal group that collects voter registrations and is directly linked to Barack Obama and since they have come to the public eye, Barack Obama has taken to trying to deny his close ties with them, despite monies his campaign has given them ($800,000) his working directly with them in the past and his public statements regarding them such as "I’ve been fighting alongside ACORN on issues you care about my entire career. Even before I was an elected official, when I ran Project Vote voter registration drive in Illinois, ACORN was smack dab in the middle of it, and we appreciate your work."

No surprise to see ACORN in the news yet again today, as they were yesterday and the day before and last week and last month, all for voter fraud, putting though fake registrations, duplicates, dead people and underage children, all in the name of helping elect their old friend Barack Obama.

Today we see ACRON harassed voters into registering multiple times, followed them around, encouraged them to keep registering time and time again.

From the New York Post:

Barkley estimated he'd registered to vote "10 to 15" times after canvassers for ACORN, whose political wing has endorsed Barack Obama, relentlessly pursued him and others.

Claims such as his have sparked election officials to probe ACORN.

"I kept getting approached by folks who asked me to register," Barkley said. "They'd ask me if I was registered. I'd say yes, and they'd ask me to do it [register] again.

"Some of them were getting paid to collect names. That was their sob story, and I bought it," he said.

Barkley is one of at least three people who have been subpoenaed by the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections as part of a wider inquiry into possible voter fraud by ACORN. The group seeks to register low-income voters, who skew overwhelmingly Democratic.

"You can tell them you're registered as many times as you want - they do not care," said Lateala Goins, 21, who was subpoenaed.

"They will follow you to the buses, they will follow you home, it does not matter," she told The Post.

Michelle Malkin has a partial list of the recent problems with ACORN and I have been following this with amazement myself recently and you will find those pieces listed at the end of this post under "previously".

• Missouri - Officials now have to sift through hundreds of bogus applications submitted last August.
• Connecticut - A criminal investigation has been opened into ACORN fraud.
• Wisconsin - Registering convicted felons.
• Ohio - ACORN tells Cuyahoga County’s election board that they can’t stop themselves from committing fraud.
• Indiana - Over a thousand new applications from ACORN appear to investigators to be fraudulent, and that should be no surprise, since Indianapolis now has 105% of its population registered to vote.

The Associated Press is now reporting even more problems, now in Missouri:

Officials in Missouri, a hard-fought jewel in the presidential race, are sifting through possibly hundreds of questionable or duplicate voter-registration forms submitted by an advocacy group that has been accused of election fraud in other states.

Charlene Davis, co-director of the election board in Jackson County, where Kansas City is, said the fraudulent registration forms came from the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or ACORN. She said they were bogging down work Wednesday, the final day Missourians could register to vote.

Davis also says, "I don't even know the entire scope of it because registrations are coming in so heavy. We have identified about 100 duplicates, and probably 280 addresses that don't exist, people who have driver's license numbers that won't verify or Social Security numbers that won't verify. Some have no address at all."

Ogden on Politics noticed something very strange in Indiana. It seems that Indiana has more registered voters than people eligible to vote.

Now, that is an accomplishment!!!!

Other than Barack Obama's public statements and previous work done for ACORN by him, Hot Air points folk's attention to an Investors Business Daily article showing that Barack Obama has paid $800,000 to ACORN for their services.

For starters, Obama paid ACORN, which has endorsed him for president, $800,000 to register new voters, payments his campaign failed to accurately report. (They were disguised in his FEC disclosure as payments to a front group called Citizen Services Inc. for "advance work.")

Barack Obama Trying To Deny His Ties To ACORN Now?

Piles of evidence have linked Barack Obama to ACORN aka Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now. Documented ties, articles quoting Obama himself stating those ties and now The Corner shows us that Barack Obama is trying to distance himself and deny those ties since ACORN is being investigated in quite a few states for voter fraud?

Barack Obama is now apparently denying his ties with Acorn. Here’s what he’s posted on the subject at his "Fight the Smears" website. These claims are contradicted by several sources, a number of which I linked to in my piece, "Inside Obama’s Acorn." In that piece, you’ll find a link to a Los Angeles Times piece in which Chicago Acorn leader Madeline Talbott is described as so impressed with Obama that "she invited him to help train her staff." You’ll also see a link to a statement by Obama himself, made in pursuit of Acorn’s endorsement. Obama says: "I’ve been fighting alongside ACORN on issues you care about my entire career. Even before I was an elected official, when I ran Project Vote voter registration drive in Illinois, ACORN was smack dab in the middle of it, and we appreciate your work." In my piece, "No Liberation," you’ll find a link to a 1995 profile of Obama which says: "Obama continues his organizing work largely through classes for future leaders identified by ACORN and the Centers for New Horizons on the south side." My articles provide background, but the quotes and links I’ve presented here, and in the past, pretty conclusively contradict Obama’s current claims at "Fight the Smears."

ACORN, Rezko, Ayers, Wright, Pfleger, Meeks...etc... these associations of Obama are a good reason why people need to understand how bad his judgment is at best and how crooked his associations are and at worst, his involvement with these people show his negligence and irresponsibility.
