Alaska Fuked Now? Scientists From Alaska Concerned About Fukushima Radiation (Video)

According to CBC.ca, Alaska scientists are concerned about the radiation from the crippled Fukushima nuclear plant in Japan that has reached parts of the North and West coasts of Alaska. Those same scientists from the University of Alaska are also concerned about the lack of monitoring plans.

They fully admit that concerns over the food supply from the ocean are justified as John Kelley, a professor emeritus at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, discusses the worries over whether the wildlife food supply contamination is at levels dangerous to humans, and points out that without better data, who will even know?

"The data they will need is not only past data but current data, and if no one is sampling anything then we won't really know it, will we?" he asks. 

He continues on to state "The general concern was, is the food supply safe? And I don't think anyone can really answer that definitively."

This global issue is being downplayed not only by the media, but by governments of both Canada and the United States.
